GOODBYE MIAMI!
Gimenez or Robaina isn't much of a choice.
Xavier Suarez is vindicated.
Tomas Regalado is still in office.
Marc Sarnoff will win re-election.
The Miami Herald doesn't care.
Kathy Fernandez-Rundle doesn't care.
The voters don't care.
We were offered a high paying job in Austin, Texas. So we're outta here.
Goodbye Miami!
Before we leave, we can reveal that the REAL reason Regalado voted against the baseball stadium is because the Florida Marlins yanked Armando Gutierrez' contract. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
We leave the fight to Al Crespo, Investigation Miami, The Straw Buyer, and all the other bloggers we are proud to have fought with.
But after the latest election results, we're afraid...
Miami will never change.

I'M NOT WORRIED
The State of Florida fucks Miami over for film incentives but TOM ASS has no response.
Miami Today says that "State budget changes might impact Miami's power to lure future television series and movie productions, but so far there's no organized response on the part of the city."
"I'm not worried," Mayor Tomás Regalado said Friday. The day before, he had attended an event with the producers of "Rock of Ages," a film being shot this summer. "They told me they had been to Detroit and they had considered Los Angeles. They chose to come here, and said they were glad they did. They like the light here; they like the water."
Meanwhile, Tony "I don't give a" Crapp has not hired anyone to head the film office. Someone should call Gottlieb and see what he thinks.
"Lawmakers this past session changed the state's $242 million film incentive funding to cap the amount that can go toward television production. The legislation, structured to urge filmmakers to do feature work in other parts of the state, was sponsored by Rep. Steve Precourt, an Orlando Republican in whose district Universal Studios lies. It offers a 5% incentive to projects that film outside of South Florida."
"The economic impact for South Florida could be $523 million in wages and 87,000 in jobs, said Jeff Peel, director of the Miami-Dade Office of Film and Entertainment."
It's not like we need jobs or money down here.
Sarnoff has it all figured out...
"But if Miami takes a hit when future film incentive funds are divvied up, "then I guess the Dade delegation isn't doing its job," Mr. Sarnoff said."
"Put it this way: there's no reason Walt Disney Studios should have better lobbyists than Miami does."
Hell no!
Miami has Armando Gutierrez and Steve Marin!!!

WFT MIAMI?????
TOP 5 REASONS THE RAPTURE SHOULD HAPPEN TOMORROW
or
DUDE, WTF!?!?!
(in no particular order)
1. THE MIAMI HERALD AND NORMAN BRAMAN ENDORSE "MAYOR LOCO" XAVIER SUAREZ
(SUAREZ' LAST TERM IN PUBLIC OFFICE WAS CUT SHORT BY A JUDGE BECAUSE OF RAMPANT VOTER FRAUD -- SUAREZ SAYS HE WILL BE A GOOD COMMISSIONER BECAUSE HE IS PROUD OF HIS SON, ALSO RUNS ON HAVING LOWERED THE CITY MILLAGE RATE, FROM 9.9 TO 9.7)
2. WE SUPPORT REGALADO BLOG
(THERE'S ALWAYS AN ASSHOLE IN EVERY BUNCH -- WHO KNEW ADA/ANGEL/ARMANDO HAD SO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS?)
3. MIAMI POLICE CHIEF MIGUEL EXPOSITO STILL ON THE JOB
(SEVEN POLICE SHOOTING DEATHS ARE PERFECTLY FINE, PAUL PHILIPS GOT PAID $70,000 TO SAY SO -- IT'S ALSO PERFECTLY OK TO ACCUSE THE CITY MAYOR OF CORRUPTION ON SPANISH LANGUAGE TELEVISION)
4. TONY CRAPP JR. STABS REGALADO IN THE BACK
(IT'S NOT ENOUGH HE GOT YOU A $200,000 JOB, NOW YOU HAVE TO FUCK HIM OVER TO KEEP IT)
5. MARC DAVID SARNOFF, ESQUIRE, "THE ETHICIST," IS HEADED TOWARD A LANDSLIDE VICTORY IN NOVEMBER
(RAISES SOME SERIOUS $$$ FROM THE SAME DEVELOPERS AND LOBBYISTS HE DECRIES -- GET READY FOR MORE LESSONS IN ETHICS -- GOOD LUCK DONNA MILO!)

MR. REGALADO GOES TO WASHINGTON, AND FAILS!
He takes a shot at Diaz in his State of the City address.
He says that:
Unlike other mayors, when I go to Washington, I have not asked for a leadership position or to be appointed to some advisory board, instead I have tried to speak to our legislature and the Obama administration…He holds a rally with the "poor peeple" to tell DC that the city needs more federal CDBG funds.
He goes to Washington to take pictures with Marco Rubio.
Marco Rubio tells him to fuck off. An aide sends a message saying "Senator Rubio has decided not to introduce or co-sponsor CDBG legislation at this time."
Can't even get the Senator to personally send him a message.
Maybe it's because Regalado's "Fourth Son" Angel Zayon once called the Senator "a faggot."
Do you really think anyone in their right mind would appoint Tom Ass to a leadership position or an advisory board?
So how's DC working out for ya, Tom Ass?

WE ENDORSE LUKE FOR MAYOR!
There, we said it.
And unlike "other" blogs that encourage you to "be serious," we will do no such thing.
In any other "serious" city, if the mayor or other politicians were caught doing half the things we and others have reported, they would be hauled off to jail.
But not in Miami. This is not a serious town.
Luke has been right on all the issues.
Luke is right that It's Time to recall Mayor Tomas Regalado.
Luke is right that Marc Sarnoff is a racist idiot.
Luke is right that Mayor Regalado is an idiot too.
Luke is right that with bodies hanging over his head, Miami Police Chief Miguel Exposito has to go.
Luke is right that Surprise, Surprise, Michelle Spence Jones is innocent.
Luke is right that Screw the curfew: Miami is not a Communist Country
Luke is right that Miami-Dade's black commissioners have failed the people.
Luke is right that the TSA is racist and stupid.
Luke is right that Rick Scott acts like a drug addict.
And,
Luke is right that the Heat should Give Chris Bosh the damn rock!
We also completely agree with Luke:

THE SMARTEST MAN IN MIAMI
I get a $185,000 a year salary.
I get $800 a month for my car.
I get $200 a month for my cell phone.
I get free health care and a pension.
I get 46 days off.
I've never had a job other than working for Tomas Regalado.
I don't make any decisions and my boss won't dare fire me.
I don't even live in the City of Miami!
The best thing is...
You pay for it all.

WE DON'T NEED NO EDUCATION!
We know that the Mayor never went to college.
We found out in the Crespo Gram Report that Felon Jose Marrero's son in law was hired by the City of Miami at an $80,000 a year job with a waiver of the educational requirement.
Now we can also tell you about the educational journey of the man who many say will be the next police chief.
Little Luis Cabrera, the "Chief of Operations/Assistant City Manager," goes around telling everyone that he is very qualified to do this job and be paid his over $160,000 a year salary because he has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree.
We were tipped off by a City Hall insider that Mr. Cabrera's MBA comes from the American Intercontinental University.
According the Chronicle of Higher Education, AIU has been under serious scrutiny and enrolls "large numbers of students who were clearly not qualified for the high-priced programs they were entering."
"'If you can breathe and walk, you can get into the school,' says a professor who
wished to remain anonymous."
"Not only is the college not helping those students, it is encouraging them to
take out sizable student loans, current and former faculty members and
administrators say."
We wonder who paid for Mr. Cabrera's MBA? Was it the City of Miami taxpayers?
Here's a lesson kids:
Forget school!!!
At the City of Miami, you don't need no education for a high paying job...
As long as you know how to kiss the TOM ASS!

WHY IS BOB MEYERS STILL HERE? TIME TO END THE NON-ETHICS COMMISSION!
Another bottle of wine Gary! I have a coupon... |
Why is Bob Meyers still here?
Has he no fucking shame?
Exposed with his dockers around his ankles...
Asking his secretary to "wear something nice..."
The super ethicist has the BALLS to tell Gary Nelson:
"I go out to lunch with people all the time and I don't see where that's a big deal. Having a glass of wine or two, it's not a matter of anybody's concern but mine."
It was November 11 of last year when we reported the memo to then Mayor Carlos Alvarez accusing Meyers of the affair with his secretary.
The man who is paid $230,000 a year and is "dedicated to bolstering public trust in the administration of government by informing the public and private sectors about the laws and seeking strict compliance with them" operates outside the law however.
Instead of calling for an independent investigation, Meyers and the rest of the "ethics" commission began a witch hunt.
"Michael Murawski, an ethics commission advocate, questioned commission employees under oath in the presence of a court reporter in a bid to find out who had been “rummaging’’ through desks. According to an ethics commission report, some workers found the interrogation created a “hostile’’ work environment. No fucking way!
"In January, the ethics commission issued a report finding no substantiation to the anonymous allegations."
Apparently for the "ethics" commission, it's not a "big deal" when the executive director takes his secretary out to extended lunches on county time, drinks "a glass of wine or two" while on county time, and then uses county resources and his subpoena power to interrogate and scare his subordinates into silence when they whistleblow.
Notice that AT NO TIME did Meyers ever deny the accusation.
Meyers finally "resigned" in February because he thinks he has "something more to offer the world."
It's now May.
Meyers is still sticking around making $230,000 from the taxpayers.
We called for the elimination of the so called Ethics Commission back in November of last year.
The excellent job done by Al Crespo reporting all the shenanigans and completely "ethical" behavior of this cast of clowns makes our case stronger!
We told you how they spend over 2 million dollars of our taxpayer dollars.
They have 15 employees, 5 making over $100,000.
Robert Meyers - $230,747
Michael Murawski - $146,671
Ardyth Walker - $137,097
Manuel Diaz - $106,859
Christina Seymour - $102,320
AND FOR WHAT???
Crespo is right.
When will the so called "Ethics Commission" go after Mayor Regalado,
Never.
What about the back room deals with Mark Siffin and the entire billboard industry?
What about the insider dealings at the CRA?
What about turning the mayor's office into a lounge for lobbyists, including our pal the Phantom Mayor?
The list goes on and on and on.
And the "ethics" commission?
Out to lunch (with a coupon, of course).
The Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics continues to breach the public trust by their actions, in-actions, and the unethical behavior of its highly paid executive director.
It's time to end this charade and utter waste of taxpayer funds.

THE STRAW BUYER DOES IT AGAIN: WTF IS GOING ON WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT?
The Straw Buyer does it again!
First it was Veldora.
Now add Thomas Thelusma to the list of City of Miami firefighters indicted for mortgage fraud.
Mr. Thelusma, who according to the Palm Beach County appraisers office owns property in Palm Beach County and has a mailing address in Pembroke Pines (with no record of property ownership in Miami-Dade County), now claims that he is indigent and asking taxpayers to foot his legal bills.
Of course for someone that is used to driving his City of Miami taxpayer funded car (with his gas and insurance paid for by all of us) to Broward and/or Palm Beach County, what's another couple of thousand taxpayer dollars to help him fight his legal case?
What's even better about all this is that the story about Mr. Thelusma came from the Palm Beach Post! Apparently they have some journalistic integrity up there and will publish stories The
Veldora and Thomas are symptomatic of the bullshit that goes on at the City where they all think they are entitled to reach into our pockets to pay for all their shit!
What is cracker jack professional black city manager Tony Crapp Jr. going to do about any of this?
Absolutely nothing.

ANOTHER BLACK EYE FOR MAYOR REGALADO
Another black eye for Miami police says The Herald Press Office.
Instead, it should read:
Another black eye for Mayor Regalado.
But noooooooo!
TheHerald Press Office can't possibly place responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the mayor whose fault it is that Chief Miguel Exposito is there in the first place.
Sure, they continue to spill ink on Julio Robaina. Is this the twentieth negative article already?
In spite of Crespo, IM, the Straw Buyer, and so many others detailing all the chicanery and shenanigans going on at the city of Miami under the watchful black eye of Mayor Regalado, not a fucking peep from the newspaper of record.
Puppet Tony Crapp keeps spinning the same bullshit.
"City Manager Tony Crapp, who appointed Mr. Philip, told the Editorial Board on Tuesday that the assessment should be on his desk in the next four or five days. Good."
That was enough to placate the Editorial Board.
How long has it been Tony?
How much has Mr. Philip been paid by an administration that railed against the use of consultants?
Who the fuck is in charge at the City anyhow?
Mayor Regalado and his minion Tony Crapp have made a mockery of the City of Miami through their complete mismanagement and TheHerald Press Office is totally complicit in not holding them accountable.
Makes you wonder why they keep writing about Robaina while Regalado, Crapp, Sarnoff, Gutierrez and the rest of them keep fucking City of Miami taxpayers robbing us all blind.

THE X MAN COMETH
Sources have confirmed to TBM that former Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart is making telephone calls to voters on behalf of former Miami mayor Xavier Suarez in his campaign to be elected to the Miami Dade County Commission.
The X Man, father of city commissioner Francis (who is busy handing "out about $1 a day" to "panhandlers in the Flagami district he represents") has already amassed a $109,000 war chest from the usual suspects, including:
our pal former city manager Carlos Migoya
lobbyist Miguel de Grandy $1,000
lobbyist Steve Marin $1,000
lobbyist Syl Lukis $1,000
Rickenbacker Marina
Diaz Balart brother Rafael
And countless other citizens concerned about good county governance.
The X man has also spent $2,000 to hire Myami Marketing, headed by non other than recall figure Vanessa Britto. We wonder if Ms. Britto really thinks that The X Man will bring reforms to county government.
Can a 2013 run for vindication as Miami mayor be too far fetched?
Poor Francis better step aside...
Papa X is ready for his comeback special.

TOMAS REGALADO IS THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HYPOCRITE!
NOW
“This is a huge complex that will bring to Brickell Avenue, downtown Miami and East Little Havana an energy it has never, ever seen before,” said Regalado, who will take the nontraditional step of presenting a developer’s project to the City Commission.
“I think it needs to carry the clout of the office of the mayor to send a message that this is a huge project for the city of Miami.”
THEN
Tomás Regalado, the longtime city commissioner whose campaign platform centered on putting a stop to what he has called wasteful spending on large public projects, won a sweeping victory in Miami's mayoral race yesterday. He had attacked Mayor Manny Diaz, who was not up for reelection, on development initiatives like downtown highrises...
Ask the man most people expect to be Miami's next mayor to describe his vision for the city, and you might as well stick eight years of skyline-filling rapid development in mothballs.
"Tell the people how their money is being spent. No backroom deals. Any grandiose projects, we take to the voters,'' says Miami Commissioner Tomás Regalado. ``We do need to take a breather.''
The anti-Manny Diaz? The approach may be sticking.
Mr. Regalado comes across as favoring a quieter, simpler time in Miami’s past, serving the constituents he’s sipped cafecitos with for decades while trying to protect them from the “uncompromising dream of a bustling metropolis”. As far as he is concerned, the city is trapped between the vise-like grip of developers and politicos, and is in danger of losing its’ soul.
I have known Tomas Regalado for 30 years. I used to sell Spanish Language radio ads and do some marketing for WQBA-FM.
Tomas was a star newscaster on WQBA-AM. He is a first class gentleman. I don’t know how he has managed to survive in the snake pit that is Miami politics and government. I told him today that this day for him announcing his candidacy for mayor is long overdo.
I am most confident that he will win.
Miami deserves to be lead by a leader that cares about the people and not one that is pals with the developers and lobbyists.
Oh Harry...
We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

TOMAS HAS NO INFLUENCE IN THE FLORIDA LEGISLATURE
Like the rantings of a fucking lunatic, Mayor Tomasito's latest target of attack is the immigration bill currently making its way through the state legislature.
"Our residents and businesses fear that harsh immigration bills will create a division between the local community, and harm the image of Miami as a welcoming city for tourists.”
Oh sure!
How does it feel to get your ass kicked over the billboards issue Tomasito?
And why don't you get your team of high paid taxpayer funded lobbyists to kill these bills?
Tomas has ZERO influence north of Flagler Street and everyone knows it. That is why despite of being the marquee and most important city in the state, NO ONE pays attention to Tomas.
Both Tomas and Raquelita supported the loser in the Governor's race, and Tomas hired Angel Zayon who ran against Senator Marco Rubio and called him a faggot.
And now Tomas wants the Governor and Marco Rubio to help out the City?
Fat fucking chance!
We'll see how the budget treats you Tomasito.
We are willing to bet you will bring ZERO dollars home this session.
And how much EXACTLY are you spending on lobbyists?
And for what?
Tomas was always used to criticizing, and never leading. Now the city suffers from his idiocy.

REGALADO$ LOVE THE MARLIN$ MONEY
Well known for his vehement opposition to the Florida Marlins stadium deal, Mayor Tomas Regalado and his daughter Raquelita have no issues in taking money from the team.
The latest example comes from thisHerald Press Office article about a new playground for Citrus Grove Elementary School in Little Havana.
When the School Board (of which Raquelita is a member) could not give money to the school to build a new playground because they spend all their money paying the six figure salaries to administrators, the private sector stepped in and pitched in the money for the new playground.
Among the biggest contributors to the $59,000 price tag?
Hunt Construction, builders of the stadium, and the Florida Marlins.
This did not stop Tomasito and Raquelita from grandstanding and taking credit!
Read the list of contributors here
Neither Tomas nor Raquelita gave a red cent to this project.
Is this because Tomas still claims to be poor and worth $5,000?
What about Raquelita? We are sure that a successful attorney such as her could have spared $1,000.
It's ok for Tomas to dump all over Hunt and the Marlins, but it's ok to take their money and stand there for a photo op when he needs one.
This fucking hypocrite and his daughter need to go!

RAQUELITA: THE SIXTH COMMISSIONER
Raquelita Regalado has become the sixth City of Miami commissioner feeling it her right to attend meetings of the City of Miami and act as a co-participant with her father the mayor.
Here we see two recent examples where Raquelita attends a press conference where Mayor Regalado is calling for a census recount and at a meeting held yesterday where the City Commission opposes cuts in federal funding.
We are hard pressed to come up with any reasons why a school board member would care about either the census or cuts in community development block grant money other than she is running for mayor of Miami and using her father to insert herself into the business of the City of Miami commission.
Back in March we told you how Raquelita already has begun plans to run for mayor in 2013 when her dad steps aside and her recent behavior confirms our predictions.
With Raquelita positioned for 2013, and her brother waiting in the wings, it is time for people in Miami to realize what's going on, or we are all to suffer more Regalado ineptitude well into the next two decades.

CHUCK, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MAYOR'S PHONE RECORDS?
Remember the lawsuit from the Herald, demanding that Mayor Regalado turn over his phone records?
And the settlement where the Herald would get "records of [Regalado's] cell phone calls during October police raids that resulted in 28 arrests and the seizure of hundreds of video gaming machines."

Why haven't they published the records?

WHY DOES THE STATE LEGISLATURE HAVE THE CITY BY THE BALLS?
Poor poor poor Commissioners...
The Florida Legislature has them by the balls!
"Miami commissioners say they are being squeezed into settling a lawsuit by a politically connected owner of a billboard company that is using its Tallahassee influence to undermine an ordinance that could mean more than $4 million a year to city coffers."
Squeezed?
By who? A couple of well connected lawyers?
What bullshit!
Why does the City of Miami spend hundreds of thousands on high paid Tallahassee lobbyists?
Can't any of them talk with the Speaker and Senate President?
Why doesn't the Mayor get the Speaker and Senate President on the phone and tear them a new one?
What about rallying the Dade delegation (the largest state delegation) to your side?
What about calling his pal the governor?
Nope.
For Tomas, it was just a lot easier to blame everything on Manny Diaz.
Tomas has ZERO influence in Tallahassee.
His army of lobbyists can't change that fact.
That's why it's so easy for a well connected lawyer bring the entire city to its knees.
Thanks a lot TomAss!

GIVE ALL OF US THE PULITZER!
We just had to laugh when we read that the L.A. Times has won a Pulitzer Prize for exposing the big salaries paid to public officials in the town of Bell, California.
We laughed even harder when the Miami Herald reported it, noting the irony that in a city full of corruption, the Herald applauds the L.A. Times, while ignoring their own backyard and walking away empty handed.
The Pulitzer Prize for public service, in our opinion, should be awarded to Al Crespo and his Crespo-Gram Report, to Investigation Miami, The Straw Buyer, Random Pixels, and this humble blog, for exposing the power, corruption, and lies that have dragged the City of Miami down to the corrupt Third World gutter it has become.
While newspapers congratulate one another in the Pulitzer award circle jerk, it is the blogs that are truly reporting what is happening in government and looking out for taxpayers.
Congratulations to us all!

REGALADO SELLS STOREFRONT BILLBOARDS TO HELP PHANTOM MAYOR GUTIERREZ
On the April 14th City Commission agenda, Mayor Tomas Regalado proposed an ordinance entitled "Temporary Vacant Storefront Window Signs" in effect allowing billboards to be placed on vacant storefronts all over the city.
Well, guess who represents a company that specializes in storefront advertising?
You guessed it!
The Phantom Mayor himself, Armando Gutierrez.
Pearl Media "specializes in converting vacant retail storefronts into advertising opportunities."
They "afford advertisers the opportunity to 'own the streets' with a reach, frequency and impact that isn't possible through traditional outdoor methods. We offer a powerful medium that transforms windows of vacant retail real estate into engaging high impact advertisements."
It also lines the pockets of well connected lobbyists.
More billboards, just what the City of Miami needs.
Tomas will stop at nothing to help the Phantom Mayor.
And with Mark Siffin throwing around millions for more billboards, even at Bicentennial Park, soon Miami will be known for the visual pollution, and that includes covering the entire city with tacky billboards.
Just look at the MRC...

A STREETCAR (BUS) NAMED DISASTER!
Three jeers to Tomasito's latest money making scheme, buses dressed up as "trolleys" circling city streets.
The plan will cost "$5.6 million to buy the fleet" and "the operations — gasoline, maintenance, drivers — are expected to cost Miami $3.3 million a year."
These projections come from the same folks that told us the red light cameras would bring in $8 million in revenues.
Tomasito tells Chuck: “It’s an attraction we can sell.”
"Come to Miami," says Mayor Regalado. "Check out our buses!"
If anyone in this fucking town cared, the environmentalists would be in an uproar over 28 diesel guzzling, carbon emitting "buses" clogging up our streets.
Miami Neighborhoods United only cared when it was big bad "Money Diaz."
Problem is, we remember when former mayor Diaz tried to plan a REAL fixed rail environmentally friendly electric streetcar system and was shot down by who?
You guessed it, Dr. No Regalado.
Back then, Commissioner Regalado told the Herald:
''I think the Streetcar is like Fidel Castro's health,'' said Commissioner Tomás Regalado. ``Everyone knows it's going to die, but we don't know exactly when.''
Studies have shown over and over that people who are not willing to ride buses will ride streetcars, as the City of Orlando found out when they tried the bus approach Regalado supports.
But at that time, in his opposition to the streetcar, Regalado said it only appealed to snobs:
"Maybe we can serve caffe latte on board," he sarcastically told the Herald.
Hey Tomass,
Maybe you can get Maritza Gutierrez to sell the ads on the buses!
You crapped all over the streetcar because it wasn't your idea. Now you want gas guzzling buses.
STELLA!!!
What a hypocrite asshole...

ROBAINA 5 - REGALADO 0
How many more times is The Herald Press Office going to write the SAME article about City of Hialeah Mayor Julio Robaina?
We're not defending the guy, in fact, we applaud and encourage hard hitting investigative journalism. But it seems the last 5 articles on the Hialeah mayor have been the same exact thing.
Meanwhile, here in the City of Miami we have Mayor Corruptalado who among other things, has Phantom Mayor lobbyist Armando Gutierrez running City Hall.
Just by reading the Crespo Gram Report and Investigation Miami, one would think theHerald Press Office would find a treasure trove of Pulitzer worthy news stories to write about Mayor Regalado.
Chuckie Rabin just can't get his head out of the Tom Ass.
Makes us wonder what the Herald's not-so-hidden agenda is.

REGALADOS WILL FIGHT CENSUS, ONLY AFTER DIAZ BROUGHT UP THE IDEA
The Press Office reports yesterday that Miami will fight census figures, believes population is over 500,000.
But Chuckie forgets to mention that former Mayor Manny Diaz penned an editorial for their newspaper that ran on March 25!
Cities must challenge U.S. Census count.
"Residents of cities like Miami cannot afford not to be counted. Miami, and cities like it, must challenge the 2010 census results. Failure to do so means only that we forfeit the economic and political benefits we rightly deserve."
So the Anti-Manny and his daughter take up the cause.
Now, why would Raquelita be involved in this unless she is planning a run for mayor in 2013?
And would it have been all that hard for Chuck Rabin to include mention of the Diaz editorial in his story?
Here's a great story idea for Chuck:
Look into all of the policy initiatives and programs that Diaz started that the Anti-Diaz has taken on as his own.
Nothing like continually criticizing someone and then stealing all his ideas.
But Chuckie won't do that will you.
We hope that whatever Regalado is paying you is worth enough to sell your journalistic and personal integrity.

LEGISLATURE PREPARES TO KILL RED LIGHT CAMERAS, WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR $8 MILLION TONY?
A set of bills to repeal red light camera legislation are making their way through the state legislature.
But Tony, Larry, and Tomasito banked on $8 million from red light camera revenues to balance their budget.
Is there a plan B, or a plan C?
Of course not!
This is what happens when you turn over the reigns of a city to a man who made a career out of sitting behind a radio microphone accusing others of being a commie.
It's also what happens when greedy lobbyists like Gutierrez and Marin sell the city on bullshit revenue enhancers.
Time to start looking for ways to balance the budget Larry. Maybe getting rid of all the take home cars is a good start.
But how will Ada and pals drive to tennis tournaments and other fun parties around town?
Plus, gas is EXPENSIVE these days! Why should Ada and Pepe and you have to pay for gas when the city taxpayers can foot the bill?
Can higher taxes to fund the bureaucrat lifestyles of the rich and famous be far off???

WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?
We told you this was a giant farce, a big fuck up from Tony and Regalado.
Now the New Times is catching on...
What's also crazy is how the Herald and the rest of the media are giving Philip, Tony, and Regalado a free pass on this!
Where is the accountability?
Why is Philip being paid $70,000 to do something the Feds are doing FOR FREE?
Why won't Regalado, who was so quick in getting rid of Timoney, do the same with Exposito?
When Regalado says that in the inner city "violence will be met with violence" he is equating the residents of the inner city with dogs. So it is no surprise that Dunn, Crapp, and all the other "professional blacks" will echo the master's chorus.
To Chukie and all the other "journalists," start asking the tough questions, start holding the mayor and manager accountable, or continue to wallow in irrelevance.
Now the New Times is catching on...
It was a recent Tuesday night at an Overtown community center, and McNeil had come to hear a presentation by Paul Philip, an ex-FBI chief hired by the City of Miami to investigate the Police Department's fatal shootings of seven black men since last summer. McNeil's son Travis was the most recent to die by a police bullet, and it was her first chance to meet Philip, a man she hoped would hold the department accountable.
So she was surprised when he announced that his research showed that under current Chief Miguel Exposito, police weren't shooting more often than they had under ex-Chief John Timoney.
Then she saw his report.
The first entry in Timoney's section read, "Dog Shot by Officer." So did the second. And the eighth. And the tenth.
"It was crazy to see him even associate the life of a person with the life of a dog," McNeil says.

TONY, IF FEDS ARE INVESTIGATING, WTF IS PAUL UP TO?
$70,000 of taxpayer money down the drain.
For what?
Now that the Feds are FINALLY looking into the police shootings (no thanks to you Tony or Regalado), what is Philip's role in all this?
The Fed's review is free.
Phillip is not.
Way to look out for taxpayer money Tony!

ARE YOU EVEN PAYING ATTENTION???
Too busy enjoying your swag Kathy?
Are you even paying attention to what is happening in Overtown?
Dunn denies friendship with Townson:
So which one is it?
Kathy, you prosecuted Michelle Spence Jones and failed...
Why won't you investigate Dunn and these pay to play in Overtown allegations?
Is Professor Marvin Dunn not a credible enough witness?
Stop your high class partying Kathy and do your fucking job!!!
Are you even paying attention to what is happening in Overtown?
Dunn denies friendship with Townson:
The controversy over the future of a popular Overtown farmer’s market widened Thursday, when Miami Commissioner Richard P. Dunn II denied he is friends with a Liberty City man looking to partner with the market operator, who gets public money to run the project.Dunn says Townson is "social friend"
Dunn said he’s known Townson “for years,’’ but he doesn’t consider him anything more than “a social friend” — not a personal friend with whom he’d spend time or know closely.Towson says they are friends:
Townson told The Herald Thursday he considers the commissioner a friend, but agreed the relationship is not close.

Hey Tomass,
Can you call your Commie pals over China and tell them to release our blogger brother-in-arms?
Seems they don't like freedom of expression over there or freedom of the press.

Prominent Chinese blogger charged as crackdown deepens.
BEIJING (Reuters) – Chinese police have arrested prominent writer Ran Yunfei for challenging the ruling Communist Party, people close to the blogger said on Monday, the latest in a string of arrests in a deepening crackdown on dissent.
"Basically, it's the crime of expressing your opinions," said Wang, formerly a legal scholar.
More than 100 activists, many of them active on Twitter and blogging sites, have been detained, subjected to monitoring and intimidation by the security forces or have gone missing since late February, particularly after the online calls for "Jasmine" gatherings, according to Amnesty International.
"The government on the one hand prevents freedom of the press and disallows the free flow of information, and on the other hand ... conceals the truth," Ran wrote on his Twitter account on Feb 14.

THE MAYOR'S PRESS OFFICE DOES IT AGAIN!
The Herald Mayor's Press Office does it again!
Reporter Press Secretary Chuck Rabin could not contain himself and waited exactly FIVE paragraphs into his story to actually mention the contents of the Mayor's address.
Instead Rabin attacks Chief Exposito, devoting the first four paragraphs of his article to reporting and continuing the childish bickering between the mayor and police chief.
Only after he sets up the conflict between mayor and chief, conveniently failing to mention that it was the mayor who hired the chief in the first place, does Chuckie say that Retardado "focused on public/private partnerships, keeping the city clean, art in public places and helping the poor."
Miami is going bankrupt.
The CFO Larry Spring has his properties foreclosed on.
The budget is based on non existent revenues from red light cameras and the failed takeover of the parking authority.
Billboards going up everywhere, with lobbyists and special interests controlling City Hall.
All anyone has to do is read this blog, The Crespo Gram Report, Investigation Miami, the Straw Buyer, to know THE CITY IS ALL FUCKED UP!!!
And Chuck Rabin reports on the bickering between the mayor and chief???
What vision did Mayor Regalado lay as to how he intends to lead the city forward as he hacked and coughed his way though his so called speech?
No vision at all.
Where are the opposing and critical views the Herald used to include when Mayor Manny Diaz gave state of the city speeches?
Nowhere.
But Chuck did make sure to take one final swipe at Chief Exposito.
Chuck...
If you are going to be a sycophant, at least pick someone with class.
Unfortunately for the citizens of Miami, you got your head up the Tom Ass!

Not present at the State of the City address.
Is a rift emerging?
We've heard the Phantom Mayor is talking to the feds about his involvement in the gambling machine issue, spilling his guts to prevent jail time...

A NATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT
Mayor Regalado and City Manager Crapp's inability to resolve the situation with City of Miami Police Chief Miguel Exposito is leading to another "public relations nightmare," this time in the New York Times.
Miami Police Chief Under Investigation
Compare this to the recent investigation completed by the U.S. Department of Justice in New Orleans and you'll see how the complete ineptitude of Regalado and Crapp managed to turn this into a giant mess.
Why did the Mayor not call for the sort of review of the City of Miami Police Department?
Instead, they went of and hired a $70,000 consultant that agrees with the police chief!
Mayor Regalado continues on a daily basis to show that he and Manager Crapp are unfit to serve and unfit to lead.

NEW ORLEANS — Justice Department officials on Thursday released the findings of a 10-month investigation into this city’s Police Department, revealing a force that is profoundly and alarmingly troubled and setting in motion a process for its wholesale reform.
The report describes in chilling detail a department that is severely dysfunctional on every level: one that regularly uses excessive force on civilians, frequently fails to investigate serious crimes and has a deeply inadequate, in many cases nonexistent, system of accountability.
Using the report as a guideline, federal and local officials will now enter into negotiations leading to a consent decree, a blueprint for systemic reform that will be enforced by a federal judge.

RAQUELITA 2013 - THE CAMPAIGN BEGINS
Mark today as the day the Raquelita for Mayor of Miami 2013 campaign has started.
With her unintelligible Op-Ed piece in theHerald Press Office, Raquelita has tipped her hand and revealed what we have been thinking all along, she is in the running for her dad's post.
Raquelita, who had no bearing whatsoever on the recall election other than blabbering on a Spanish radio station no one listens to, pens the epic "Recall's lessons still being absorbed," where she manages to quote Shakespeare and talk about the recall, Tallahassee, the School Board, Charter Reform, Alvarez and Burgess.
While her name recognition is high among the Cuban elderly who put her father in office, Raquelita needs to boost her profile among the Anglo "thinking class" who still read and think theHerald Press Office matters.
Ask yourself, why the hell else would she opine on the recall? And why does theHerald Press Office give her the opportunity to do so?
Rumors have been circling around town that Tomas Regalado is tired of being in office, and he is literally sick, having been seen with shaky hands at events, and looking more and more uncomfortable in his own hunchbacked self.
Phantom Mayor Armando Gutierrez cannot fathom the possibility of losing his iron grip over City Hall, so enter Raquelita.
Her election to the School Board had nothing to do with children, it had nothing to do with her wanting to improve education, but had everything to do with giving her a profile, fund-raising base, and machinery with which to run for future office.
When her father declares that he does not want to run, but wants his legacy to continue, he will point to his eldest daughter, the single mother, who loves children and is on the school board, and the daughter of Cuban radio personality and his beloved dead wife "Raquelita" as his logical successor.
The Cuban elderly will cry with passion over how beautiful it is that Tomasito wants to pass on his legacy to Raquelita. Tomasito will say he is for women's rights, because a woman has never been elected mayor.
Phantom Mayor Armando and his wife Maritza will orchestrate the absentee ballots and press strategy. Every single developer, lobbyist, billboard company, gambling machine operator, and anyone else in Miami will be shaken down to fill up Raquelita's coffers.
And the City of Miami will get more of the same.
Raquelita likes Romans, we prefer the Greeks, specifically the oracle at Delphi.
Don't say we didn't see this coming, and don't say we didn't warn you.
If Phantom Mayor Gutierrez, Tomasito, and Raquelita are not stopped now, prepare for a Regalado dynasty until 2025.

A PICTURE IS WORTH 1000 WORDS
A little picture collage sent to us by a reader.
The top picture of Tomasito and Sean Penn comes from The Crespo Gram Report.
Are Tomasito and Chavez starting to look like one another???
The top picture of Tomasito and Sean Penn comes from The Crespo Gram Report.
Are Tomasito and Chavez starting to look like one another???
OH THE HYPOCRISY!!!
We get asked a lot why we "hate" Tomas Regalado so much.
Hate is a strong word, and we are not motivated by negativity. But if we have to point out to one thing, it's the constant hypocrisy he exhibits.
We don't "hate" any person, but we do "hate" hypocrisy.
If Tomas Regalado woke up tomorrow morning and admitted he is a corrupt bastard that lied about Manny Diaz and Joe Carollo for years just so he could make a career as a politician, we'd respect him and leave him alone.
That won't happen.
Instead, Regalado is the first one to condemn others while engaging in activity that is far worse than anything he ever criticized.
Case in point:
Check out the latest Crespo Gram Report. Check out the picture of Tomasito hanging out with Sean Penn at a Miami Heat basketball game.
Before we continue, major kudos to Al for once again breaking stories that the Herald Press Office won't touch with a ten foot pole. Were it not for Al, these stories would never see the light of day.
Tomasito is at the Heat game cavorting and taking pictures with Sean Penn. As you can see above, Sean Penn loves to be photographed with two of Miami's favorite people, Castro and Chavez.
Now think about this for one second...
Tomas Regalado made a career on Spanish language radio and TV calling anyone a Communist who would even dare deviate from the hard line anti-Castro/Chavez stance.
When the City of Miami was negotiating with Shangri La Hotels to build a hotel on Watson Island, Regalado came to the forefront to oppose the deal, saying Miami should not give away public land to the Communist Chinese and that Shangri La does business in Cuba.
And yet, Tomasito has lunch and parties with the Chinese Consul general, calling for closer ties with the Communist government.
When Cuban band "Los Van Van" wanted to perform in Miami, and Gloria Estefan dared say it may be a good idea, Tomas Regalado blasted her for being Communist, calling los Van Van a propaganda arm of the Cuban government. Tomas also opposed the Latin Grammies in Miami because Los Van Van may perform.
And yet, Tomasito can watch basketball with Sean Penn, who has interviewed both Castro and Chavez to tell the world what great guys they both are.
Now think for another moment, had Manny Diaz or Joe Carollo hung out with Sean Penn, or the Chinese Consul general, or Jose Prado, what would Tomas Regalado have said?
Would he say it is part of normal mayoral duties to meet and greet these folks?
Or would Tomas been the first to loudly criticize for hanging out with commies and commie sympathizers?
We all know the answer to that.
And that's what we hate most about Tomasito...
His complete and perfect hypocrisy.

TOMASS IS STRAIGHT TRIPPIN'
Check out the Crespo Gram Report.
Seems like Tom Ass is still kissing the Chinese Consul's ass, breaking bread with her while her government continues the crackdown on the Jasmine Revolution and other dissidents.
When eating with the Chinese Consul and on his trip to the Far East, we wonder if Tom Ass will advocate for the hundreds of political prisoners trapped in Chinese jails by the Communist government the same way he tells Fidel Castro to release political prisoners.
City Hall insider sources tell us that Tom Ass is in the process of planning a trip to India that may include a stop over in China.
Although the City continues to bleed cash on a daily basis, Tom Ass is taking advantage of his position to travel the world. No stranger to using taxpayer money for his and his family's benefit (gas cards anyone???), the Mayor forgets the city is in a "financial crisis" and instead is warming up his passport for the impending trip.
Instead of taking care of the very serious problems plaguing the city, including the completely erroneous budget forecasts based on bullshit numbers, Tom Ass is off to see the Taj Mahal on our dime! Sources say he also plans to take his family along with him.
We will be looking to see where Larry "Foreclosure Specialist" Spring finds the money to pay for Tom Ass' trip.

MEMO TO KATHY: FIRE SCRUGGS AND DROP OTHER CHARGES AGAINST MICHELLE
90 minutes.
That's how long it took for jurors to see through your sham prosecution of Commissioner Michelle Spence Jones and the amount of trust they had in your "super-star" prosecutor Richard Scruggs.
Telling the press you disagree with the judge is just more desperation. You know full well the press is not the third DCA. If you have a problem with the judge's decision, appeal, but don't go crying to the press. But we guess you have to after you fucked up.
"I'm finding it difficult to understand the state's theory," said Judge Rosa Rodriguez.
Well Judge, let us explain:
Michelle Spence Jones was the only commissioner on the City of Miami dais who would question Mayor TomAss, Chairman Marc David Sarnoff, Esquire, and the Phantom Mayor. She would not play along like the current house boy D5 commissioner.
So they had to find a way to cut her loose.
Bullshit "bribery" charges and now some other bullshit charges.
Forget that the Phantom Mayor collects money from clients who want to meet with the mayor.
Forget that billboard companies have donated to the Mayor, Sarnoff, and Raquel Regalado and that billboards are now popping up everywhere, even on the side of the city police building.
The State Attorney ignores all that and more, to focus on Spence-Jones.
Kathy,
Drop the bogus charges against Michelle, restore some sense of honesty to your office. And get rid of Scruggs before he continues to embarrass you.
If you really stand for justice, then show us.

GIVE BACK HER SEAT!!!
NOT GUILTY!
As reported by Investigation Miami before anyone else.
Now that this political vendetta orchestrated by the State Attorney is over, it is time that District Five Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones be reinstated into office immediately.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE - MAYOR'S PRESS OFFICE SAYS TOMMY IS CLEAR IN PREDATOR VIDEO CASE
The Miami Herald Mayor's Press Office declares that a report from the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics has "cleared the son of the mayor of Miami of any wrongdoing" with regard to the "racy" predators police video.
Reporter Press Secretary Chuck Rabinlado fails to mention that this is the same Ethics Commission whose executive director, Bob "Wear Something Nice" Meyers resigned earlier this year after we exposed his un-ethical behavior with his secretary.
That the Meyers led ethics commission would clear Tommy Regalado after they cleared any wrongdoing by the lead ethicist himself Chairman Marc David Sarnoff, Esquire, is no surprise.
Meyers as we all know was too busy clipping coupons and giving his secretary fashion advice to be much of an ethical watchdog.
And when was the last time the Ethic Commission DID find any wrongdoing?
Rabinlado also allows Mayor Regalado to call video producer Scott Hervey a liar and lets him get away with it.
In a letter from Hervey to the City of Miami Police Attorney:
Hervey "notes Mayor Tomas Regalado “fully supports” the project, and says the mayor told the chief to cooperate with producers to move the show forward.
"But Regalado told The Miami Herald he’s never spoken to the chief about the video, and isn’t in favor of a series moving forward. Hervey “made that up,” the mayor said."
Regalado says Hervey made it up!
Everyone lies, while Regalado tells the truth.
Did Rabinlado think to call Mr. Hervey? Of course not!
If Regalado says Hervey is "making it up" then it must be true!
Just like Jose Prado never really met Fidel, Regalado really didn't know about Fernandez Rundle Street, that's not really Tommy Jr as executive producer in the video, the attorney for Mark Siffin didn't really write the billboard law inside the Mayor's office, and Armando Gutierrez is not really the Phantom Mayor, etc, etc, etc...
The lies continue, but they don't ever come from the Mayor, not according to theHerald Press Office.
Chuck:
How many times can Regalado LIE TO YOU before you grow a pair and expose him for the hypocrite two-faced liar he is?
