GOODBYE MIAMI!
Gimenez or Robaina isn't much of a choice.
Xavier Suarez is vindicated.
Tomas Regalado is still in office.
Marc Sarnoff will win re-election.
The Miami Herald doesn't care.
Kathy Fernandez-Rundle doesn't care.
The voters don't care.
We were offered a high paying job in Austin, Texas. So we're outta here.
Goodbye Miami!
Before we leave, we can reveal that the REAL reason Regalado voted against the baseball stadium is because the Florida Marlins yanked Armando Gutierrez' contract. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
We leave the fight to Al Crespo, Investigation Miami, The Straw Buyer, and all the other bloggers we are proud to have fought with.
But after the latest election results, we're afraid...
Miami will never change.

You will be greatly missed ... This blog was the best ... Miami loses another caring citizen ... Many of us may not be far behind ...good luck to u and yours in all that u do ... Much health and happiness to u ..
Oh no!
We will miss you.
Fuck. Unfortunately we're left with no choice, the level of corruption in this town can't be fixed. We're doomed.
Not to worry, before too long the State will take over the city of Miami for good. With the corrupt Regalado just giving away prime real estate to his friends like Manny Poch, Sarnoff buying overpriced properties to help his friends like Van Cel and Tibor Hollo, Suarez son and Father running the same overlapping districts, Dunn and Sarnoff with the help of the CRA Director using the CRA like their personal private corporation, when Johnny becomes the new City Manager he will just screw the budget up so badly its a wonder if there will be enough money to turn on the street lights at night, Raquelita having her children in an illegal Charter School and poking her nose into city business where it does not belong, and Rundle not giving a crap about what is going on in this city and just turning a blind's eye to the ongoing illegalities-this city has become more corrupt than Vegas and Cuba during the 50's with the help of the illegal gambling and very corrupt politicians currently in power. I can't believe no one is embarrassed by what this city has become and continue to re-elect this politicians-God help us all that are staying behind!
Thank you for your hard work and trying to make a difference. Sad to see you go.
TBM
I hope at least one investigation was started due to your great research.
Major Bummer!
Thanks for all your diligence in reporting what is really going on in Miami.
Hope Texas appreciates you.
And hey if you want a Miami souveni,r to take with you, Regalado has had all the "art" on the walls at MRC tagged with little numbers-think there may be a garage sale coming soon!
Where is the evidence for any of these claims? Wouldn't the federal government be investigating this?
The Federal Government doesn't go around advertising who is being investigated.
We hope someone honorable is paying attention.
Rundle is certainly useless.
5:12, which Johnny?
Johnny Martinez of course 16:49...We are in an awful lot of trouble with the end of Take Back Miami...The end of the city is inevitable without these types of venues that allows the public the opportunity to voice the issues concerning our community. It is definitely a sad day.
Your going to leave us now?!?!?! We have Sarnoff wanting to buy a property from his friend Van Cel for a higher than appraised value; We have Regalado f*&%ing up the city's relationship with the State; we have Raquelita "I want to be Miami's Eva Peron" pretending to care about the children while her kids go to an illegal charter shool for free; we have Suarez father and son teaming up to screw Little Havana out of the little bit it has; We have Dunn screwing the CRA with the help of the very incompetent Director; We have Kathy Rundle no doing shit because all of these criminals are her friends-and your leaving NOW?!?!?! We are f*&ked!
Take Back Miami has done excellent research.
Thank you.
The amount of time and dedication you have put into this site is to be admired. It has required not only research, but the precious time it takes to cull through it to get the story. I commend you, and thank you as a Miami citizen.
Many of those that comment on your posts have not realized that they have to take an active part in their governance - and responding to a post ain't active. They have to attend meetings, do a little home work, and create informed decisions - not just have you do all the work, and they do all the bitching. If we are to continue your legacy - we must act. Not just complain. Let's only hope you have inspired a few winners.
I wish you well, you have my thanks and my respect.
TBM, Thank you for all of your hard work and informative posts. I will surely miss you, your humor and being updated about Regatardo and his City of Fools. Much Luck to you and yours.
Award winning research.
TBM misses the opportunity to comment on the "resignation" of idiot CFO Larry Spring. Firing Larry Spring should have been Mayor Regalado's first decision after getting sworn in. That failure sent a signal that Regalado was unprepared to be Mayor.
Former Mayor Diaz promoted the ethically challenged Spring. The SEC continues to investigate his actions. The Committee on Ethics found him guilty of not filing his required financial disclosure forms for 3-4 years. Is Spring leaving because he is hiding incriminating information?
Did the SEC demand he leave? Will his patrons, the Marlins, pay him to keep quiet?
Corrupted Larry Spring has been one of worst hiring decisions in Miami's history. He supervised the waste of a $140 mil budget surplus as it was overspent down to almost zero. He promoted every sleazy lobbyist inspired scheme.
About damn time...
Heavy loss for Miami, I hope you passed on your contacts to Crespo or any of the other blogs. I wish you much success in Texas!
There is no way Larry Spring would resign without pressure from the SEC. We hope the SEC indicts him.
Ethically challenged Spring will never find a legitimate employer to overpay him like Diaz and Regalado forced the taxpayers to overpay him.
TBM,
Miami will miss you.
Can North Observer try to replace you?
Miami will change, it just takes time. It takes its own path. We will always be Miami, for better or for worse. You can leave and we won't be hurt or offended but we will miss you. Or you can stay and realize everything in life has a purpose.
Miami will always be full of corrupt politicians as long as no one investigates and indicts them.
Look at the scum who run the election campaigns?
Look at all the sleazy lobbyists.
Well if anyone was watching the city commission meeting today Johnny's first day as city manager proved him to be a liar and as deceitful as they come, and the Mayor just showed he is either a nitwit or just a very bad liar because according to him the Crapp had not resigned, yet there was a resignation letter in the Herald last week, and foggy transparency seems to loom over the city with Johnny sending out an email to department directors telling them not to provide district 3 commissioner any information, denying such an email at first but then retracting it quickly and saying he wanted to help the commissioner not receive unwanted junk mail-I guess Carollo must be his favorite since he did not provide that same service to his other commissioner chums...the city and us residents are screwed under his watch! Bet he won't be able to sleep anymore during commission meetings now huh!
Wow.
Johnny Martinez must have been ordered by Tomas Regalado to freeze Carollo out. Regalado and Martinez sure don't want anyone looking into their sleazy deals.
Well Regalado certainly has no love loss for Carollo, however it takes a real stupid sleaze bucket like Johnny Martinez to actually be idiotic enough to put it in writing and expect that Carollo would not find out. Carollo said it all...there is something wrong when we the city has had THREE city managers in less than TWO years since Regalado has been at the helm. Johnny was hated at FDOT, Dade County in his short term there, and now its the city's turn to have him become its most hated man behind Sarnoff and Regalado (photo finish for the three I suspect)...I bet anything the first thing he will do is fire the chief of police based on Regalado's orders and that will be just the beginning of the sleazy deals Regalado will require he do before Regalado he is arrested! Johnny M. for being so stupid and doing these deals can be his cell mate!
Johnny Martinez will obey Regalado's orders. He will refuse to fire the dozens of friends and relatives Regalado put on the City payroll.
Martinez was not hated at fdot nor the county by everyone ... Many for sure, but not even a majority of employees ... He has many friends and admirers everywhere he has worked ...
But will Johnny Martinez allow Regalado and Sarnoff to continue breaking laws?
Crespogramreports presents E-mails and dicuments that show Tony Crapp and Larry Spring stealing from the City of Miami. June 19, 2011.
As they both leave, they steal money on their way out the door.
Earlier yesterday, June 20, 2011, the Dade County Circuit Court handed the City of Miami another humiliating defeat, when it ordered Commissioner Sarnoff to sit for his deposition in this cause.. Sarnoff had been subpoenaed by Mr. Moe’s to give deposition testimony in the lawsuit, but the City filed motions to block that deposition…after hearing the arguments of both the city attorney AND a private attorney hired by Commissioner Sarnoff in a desperate attempt to avoid explaining himself under oath, the state court judge ordered that the deposition be taken. The Order rightly does not permit Mr MOE’s to inquire of a legislator the motive behind proposed legislation, but does permit all other items involving the lawsuit to be examined. Mr. MOE’S believes Commissioner Sarnoff so wants to avoid the deposition that he will appeal the decision to the appellate court, attempting to further delay the inevitable deposition which will also force the September, 2011 trial date to be extended until after the November election. MR. MOE’s today remains the only venue still open for business that was adversely affected by rollback, and the only restaurant in Coconut Grove affected by the rollback.
...and while the King of all Liars appeals the judge's decision it appears that the Lovely Teresa is about to be subpoenaed for sticking her nose where it shouldn't have been.
Teresa, I know that you're the one running the show, but unfortunately for you you're not going to be able to claim "executive privilege"...
It's going to be a BLOCKBUSTER summer for Coconut Grove's very own "First Couple"...
They're going to get more air time than Brangelina.
Even the Miami Herald finally reads the E-mails and documents and reports that Tony Crapp and Larry Spring stole money for themselves weeks before they resigned.
Herald reports the City is losing over $1 mil a week. Clueless Mayor Regalado testifies he expects a surplus.
On June 26 Michael Putney asks regarding the City of Miami and Tony Crapp and Larry Spring stealing over $200,000, "Who is protecting the taxpayers?"
Tomas Regalado, Tony Crapp and Larry Spring raid Miami's General Fund for $200,000. Miami
Herald has details. June 30, 2011.
BREAKING NEWS....BREAKING NEWS...BREAKING NEWS!
Al Crespo posted in his website that Larry Spring leaked the emails regarding the Chief Exposito bribery. In actuality the one who leaked the information is the very same person he thanked in his posting tonight,
DIANA GOMEZ!
As a matter of fact, my sources have inidcated that Al Crespo's initial posting of Larry Spring's email to Diana Gomez, which included a screen shot of the Oracle Paycheck System resides in the Finance Department and only five people, including Ms. Diana Gomez have access to.
Mr. Larry Spring has never had access to the Oracle Payroll module.
Larry Spring stole from the City as he was getting fired. No one was supposed to get severance. Spring stole the money on the way out. Crapp stole too. Plus others...
July 2011. It was reported on Crespogramreport.com that Tomas Regalado and Marc Sarnoff are trying to hand over the taxpayer owned Marine Stadium site to their campaign contributor Manny Alonso Puch.
Theft.
August 2011. Regalado and Sarnoff are still plotting to hand over more than 10 acres of taxpayer owned Marine Stadium to good buddy and campaign contributor Manny Poch. Crespogramreport.com reports that Poch owes over $100,000 in Real Estate taxes and other taxes. This is same Poch who gets $86,000+ per month from the School Board.
Marc Sarnoff contributor just got busted by Code Enforcement for many violations at his building in the Grove.
Indicted ex-commissioner Spence-Jones is kicking Richard Dunn out of the seat held by her prior to her multiple arrests. Dunn asking for a payoff on his way out the door.
Marc Sarnoff needs to be indicted.
Spence-Jones is back and she is still a scammer. Her district is still ghettos.
Great post!
