WHY THE DOUBLE CROSS?

The Miami Herald Mayor's Press Office today has yet another article on Chief Exposito, this time stating how the "Drumbeat grows for Exit of Miami police chief."

The last two lines:

For his part Regalado, who endorsed the hiring of Exposito, said his mind is made up.

"It's toxic for the city and the image of the city,'' the mayor said. ``It would greatly benefit the city if there were an elegant exit.''

Never-mind that Regalado only cares about the "image" of the city Forbes Magazine has called second most miserable in America (citing among other things rampant political corruption as a cause).

What we find utterly incomprehensible is why Chuck Rabin won't ask the most obvious question:

Why the double cross???

Only in August of last year, at the height of the Summer of Violence did the Herald editorial board state:

"Mayor Tomás Regalado has defended the recent incidents even before investigations are complete. That doesn't help his credibility. Neither do some of his public statements, such as 'violence is met with violence.' To earn trust in neighborhoods besieged by crime, the mayor should reserve such comments."

It was Regalado who defended and was the head cheerleader for the "hunters" and "predator" attitude exhibited by the Miami police, the same attitude that claimed six lives.

But now he wants the Chief to make an "elegant" exit?

What happened since August of last year to cause this complete change of heart?

Why the double cross Tomas?

Take Back Miami how about the "Double Cross" when he publicly stated 2 City Commission meetings ago that he will stop his PUBLIC on-going feud with the Police Chief.

That's right, he is using his buddies in the media to do the feud.

Regalado makes me fucking sick, he is such a lowlife scum, I would love to know what Exposito has hanging over his head.

The power struggles in this matter are because the Chief has warned the Mayor anr other about their involvement in illegal activities, and a certain prosecutor about her intntional neglect. Now they want him gone because he exposed them. Sad to see that when we get someone with intergrity and honor in a high position that the reign of corruption is trying to remove them.

I thibnk that Chief Exposito is a better man, and greater leader than all of these schmegs who are trying to oust him. It goes to show that the corruption in this town is so bad that even the good can't win.

10· Channel Seven News Story and the Appointment of a "Public Safety Advisor"- As we all know, the media will pick and choose what they want to show when airing an interview to the public. That was the case when they interviewed President Armando Aguilar. We continue to not intervene in the political squabble between the Mayor and the Chief. It isn't our role to get involved within the semantics of the gambling machines. We support the Chief's position regarding the police involved shootings. We do not support the hiring of a "Public Safety Advisor" when we have taken pay cuts and reductions in all of our benefits. Armando's position is either fire him or let him do his job. The constant feud between the Mayor and Chief is destroying the Miami Police Department. The City Manager doesn't need to hire an expert for $70,000 to do the Mayor's dirty work for him. Grow a pair and make a decision.

What happened to the love affair between the Mayor, Armando, and the Chief?

Is it Luisito? Is it the gambling machines? Is it on video?

What happened??

Exposito and Alararez dared to deem
Armando's illegal gambling machines illegal.

Anon 830... U r a fool ... I am a former city employee fired as a result of the erroneous and faulty investigation(s) conducted by Expo and fat a$$ Alvarez april 2010 ... Both of these cops are incompetent and should never have been promoted from Evidence Room Manager and Chaffeur for penis puffer Sarnoff ... Neither is a leader ... Look at them both ... Could either of them pass a physical training test ?? ... Worthless, fat, corrupt putos ....

TBM your question should be appropriately directed at Miguel Exposito. Why the double cross Mike? You snuggled with Tomas and Angel Gonzalez while you were conspiring against every sitting Chief since Warshaw. You had no problems with corrupt politicians and organized crime then. Gran Paris Bakery was a hotspot and meeting place for Exposito and his coconspirators. It was also a meeting place for members of the Battle Crime family maybe that's how Exposito drew the nexus between the gambling machines and organized crime? Exposito is not a crime fighter or a champion against corruption. He is a clever oportunist who takes advantage of relationships and events to suit his personal gains. He would not be chief anywhere but Miami and without the endorsement of a corrupt bafoon like Regalado.

Regalado and Exposito are both to blame. What happened to their little love affair because Regalado could not wait to get rid of Timoney and bring in Exposito.

Papito, they have the "negro" city manager in pictures with his "mandinga" in a woman that is not his wife.

So what? That doesn't make him a bad guy!
