DAY 311 - KARSH'S PROPER PERSPECTIVE

$220,000 for Pieter Bockweg?

"Everything needs to be presented in the proper perspective."

You're right David.

Never mind that you make MORE money than all of these.

Here's the real proper perspective, David.

Your salary and Pieter's comes from OUR pockets.

Pockets that continue to shrink in the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.

Pockets that have been cut as most in the private sector have either been laid off or had their working hours and benefits reduced.

Pockets that are picked through higher taxes so that you, Pieter, and your buddies at City Hall can continue to make fat paychecks.

The true "Proper Perspective" is that we taxpayers are fed up with your misuse of our money while you pad your outrageous salaries.

$800 car allowance?

6 weeks paid vacation?

6 weeks sick leave?

11 holidays?

From our "perspective,"

It's abusive and it stinks!

These bastards should feel lucky they even have a job, and instead all they do is want to make more and more of our money. Kick them all out!

Arriola says he hired Bockweg as a favor to Bockweg's father. No advertising, no job posting. Check his resume, Bockweg worked for a coupon newsletter before Arriola hired him.

Dunn and Sarnoff appoint him Director of the CRA. No advertising of the position, no job posting. No real estate or construction experience.

Bockweg hires Bert and Karsh. No advertising the position, no job posting.

This is what people in Overtown complain about; the CRA will let you waive flags at construction trucks on Watson Island but you will not be allowed to compete for good jobs. Those go to the commissioners' white friends.

Thank you Dunn, Sarnoff, Gort, Suarez, Carollo.

There is no end to the inside deals and corruption in the city of Miami.

The high salaries and benefits are designed to make sure when campaign time comes around.....big fat contribution will be made to the "Godfather” who made the job happen.

There are a thousand people out there who are just as good as Bockweg and would take the job for ½ what he is getting.

Also, did I read the assholes said CRB money should not be classified the same as tax money in the general fund???? CRB money is susposed to make the blight go away. Not make the Director rich.

Remember Bell, Calf!

Anonymous said...

This guy literally did not know where Overtown is located. Or the Culmer Center. What is Pulse? Who is Jackie Bell? "What is TIF" On and on....

Anonymous said...

This is why he is taking a course, the "ABCs of CRAs."

Anonymous said...

Shanks was Dunn's person. His chief of staff, now assistant director of solid waste, Kieth Carswell, was trying to get in her pants. The CRA reported the nonsense to authorities. But when Dunn put Bockweg in, she thought it was open season. Previous CRA staff reported her again, not Bockweg.

Time to get rid of bible thumpers Dunn and Bockweg.

What, no hair gel aqllowance?

Anonymous said...

An oversight on the gel, he DID get to write his own contract after all.

Anonymous said...

The city is greasy enough.

We are sick and tired of this shit! He goes from $30,000 to $220,000 for kissing ass? Bullshit!

Anonymous said...

Tell me again who wrote the Bockweg's contract?

Anonymous said...

"Under terms of the agreement written by Bockweg, he would get a 9 percent annual raise. His base salary would be $135,000 a year, but he would also be allowed to cash in unused vacation, sick and holiday time. With six weeks' vacation, six weeks' sick time and 11 holidays a year, that could total another $36,400 a year. Bockweg would also collect almost $27,000 in deferred compensation and an $800 monthly car allowance."

Why is the CRA refusing access to public records???

Tried to get a public record from the CRA and am getting the run around.

Al wrote a few months ago that you could walk in and immediately get any public record (and a place to work and bottled water).

Now, not so much. Why???

Anonymous said...

HAHAHAHAHA you think they actually want you to know what's going on? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Anonymous said...

Why isn't the Special CRA meeting advertised on the City or CRA's website?

Why didn't they advise the public at the last CRA meeting?

Where is the agenda? Five day rule? Carollo? Transparancy? - b.s.

Anonymous said...

Sarnoff, Dunn, Suarez, Marin.

Where is the legal opinion allowing the City to steal Overtown CRA funds.
Gort wake up.

Anonymous said...

Will Bockweg be hiring his girlfriend now that she was fired?

Anonymous said...

Migoya, Bockweg, Carswell, the toadies at the city need to learn to zip their pants and cross their legs.

Anonymous said...

Keith Carswell left the city before and now he is back? WTF?

Anonymous said...

Ninoshka Perez City Attorney for the City of Miami personally reviewed the Bockweg CRA contract. How much she was paid for that job is another question altogether.

Anonymous said...

She was not fired. If so, then she will be hired by the CRA.
Sincerely, David Karsh

Anonymous said...

I hear an experienced attorney with a wife and kids was let go so that Julie Bru could hire Ninoska Perez' niece and that Regalado was behind it all.

Anonymous said...

WHAT DID SHE DO FOR THE $$$$$
ANYONE KNOW?????

CRA Board ie. the commissioners just gave Armando Gutirerrez's wife $9,800. There was no reference to any work. No commissioner asked if she did any work. She got $9,800 anyway.

Anonymous said...

While he is married to someone else Bockweg began an affair with a married City Attorney?

Fire them both.

People like that might steal. Oh, I forgot, Bockweg wrote his own pay agreement.

Anonymous said...

Karsh is not telling the truth. Bockweg is getting a paycheck from the city. He gets a second (unauthorized?) one from the CRA. They can have him.

Pissed off in finance.

Anonymous said...

CRA is refusing public records requests for personnel files, Gutierrez, Siffin. Why????

Anonymous said...

Is Bockweg illegally getting two paychecks?

Is the CRA or the City still paying the fired Jim Vilacorta? He was fired July 22nd.

Anonymous said...

Sarnoff, Dunn, Suarez, Gort, Carollo, Regalado, Marin, Gutierrez, where is the Special CRA Agenda?

Anonymous said...

Why do the commissioners get a pension?

Anonymous said...

And the laughs continue Sarnoff wanted to run for State Attorney

Anonymous said...

Yes, an experienced City Attorney, Maria Santovenia, was fired by Julie O. Bru in order to hire Ninoshka Perez. She is related to the radio commentator and dear friend of Mayor Corruptalado. I am one of many Assistant City Attorneys that feels that Ninoshka is an airhead and a know it all. No experience whatsoever, but politically connected. She has been sleeping with Pieter Bockweg despite being married with two kids.

Anonymous said...

Sleeping to get ahead. Did Ninoshka learn from Julie Bru?

And what's up with the Russian names? Ninoska, Ninoshka.

Just a Question said...

Does everyone in management at the city of Miami sleep with someone else at the city who they are not married to?

Anonymous said...

It's the culture at the city of miami. Sleep your way to the top. Is she Russian?

MRC FEMALE said...

It all starts at the top with Manager "Daddy Warbucks" Migoya sleeping around with anyone that is willing to share a bed with him, and I mean ANYone.

So when you are stuck in a cubicle at the MRC and you see co-workers that are less talented get an office with windows and a fat raise, you start to wonder.

When times are tough, morals are weak, so you sleep around a bit, and make some extra cash. Johnny and Alice, Carlos and Michelle, Pieter and Nonishka, you scratch my back, I lay on my back.

Then I get a promotion, the six figure salary, the six weeks paid vacations, the car allowance, and all the other fun perks.

It's Miami Bitches and sleeping around is the only way to get to the top.

Lol

Can't wait to see all the sexual harassment lawsuits. Of course the taxpayer will pay for the indiscretions. If this ninoska girl is anything like her aunt, she must be a fatty.

Dear Mrs. Gomez,
My name is John El-Masry, I'm a resident and business owner in the city of Miami.
I would like to make a FORMAL PUBLIC REQUEST FOR RECORDS regarding the compensation of Peter Bockweg.

What is his current job title?
Who is currently paying Mr. Bockweg his salary?
How much is Mr. Bockweg being paid?
How long has Mr. Bockweg been paid in his current capacity?

I look forward your response.

Regards,
John El-Masry

Normally cities and counties do careful national searches for CRA Directors. Most Directors have 12 to 15 years of experience and even then CRA's rarely get results.

Usually CRA's are just slush funds for connected insiders. The Miami CRA's might be the most ineffective CRAs in the State.

Why didn't Dunn and Sarnoff demand a national or at least a statewide search? Many competent people would have applied.

Instead we get Billboard Bockweg.

CRA Employee said...

With all of this bad press for the CRA they may need to hire a pr agency or erect a bunch of billboards and have karsh post cra accomplishments on them.
This city is a joke...

Anonymous said...

The new billboards in Overtown and OMNI will have LED ads for strip clubs ie Solid Gold and 40 oz bottles of Malt Liquor. OMNI residents might get lucky seeing ads for Hemorrhoid Cream.

Condo residents won't need to turn on lights at night. 24/7 light from billboards.

Billboard Bockweg.

Anonymous said...

Two city attorneys, each with over twenty years experience let go. Crony stays on. Why doesn't the City advertise these positions?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Bockweg can get them jobs flagging construction trucks.

Anonymous said...

The city commissioners' job plan is to put all the employment law attorneys back to work. Expensive, yes; but the depositions will be priceless.

Anonymous @ 16:49 and 20:36 while I agree with both of you, I think we also need to understand that this might be one of many city employees venting out because of the injustices taking place. It is extremely hard to accept that people are being hired and promoted not on merit, but who they are sleeping with. Talented, proven, and hardworking city employees have been ignored and disrespected to the point of no return. This might be there way to voice their opinion about the situation at hand. We should not silenced their voice. If the act was committed or if the individual is guilty, then it is fair play.

Sarnoff asking for Forgiveness? said...

Sarnoff for the very first time gives the prayer at City Commission Meeting...Is he asking for forgiveness??????

Mother Teresa's Anyway Poem

People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

Is it true Pieter Bockweg is driving a new BMW X6?

Anonymous said...

Yes.

CRA staffers are supposed to cure "slum and blight".
Clarence Woods BMW X5
Bert Gonzalez BMW X5

Pieter Bockweg, he of the wife, kids and mistress... BMW X6.

Tax Increment Financing to cure slum and blight gets spent on shiny new luxury BMW's for the poverty pimp carpetbaggers.
