Breaking news from Haggman and The Herald that our pal Norman Braman is threatening to back a recall effort against Miami Dade County commissioners that vote for a property tax rate hike.
Good for him!
But now the question becomes, what about the City of Miami?
With all the questionable dealings in the City budget and the C.R.A., why is Mr. Braman not complaining?
Can he not admit that his backing of Mayor Tomas Regalado was misplaced?
Or is he just waiting for the right time to strike?

It is obvious that this Commission Body is corrupt and ethically challenged. Please read this New Times on current Commissioner Carollo.

City of Miami commissioners raised taxes too. They raised the milage rate through a 47% increase in the debt service rate. They increased fees and fines. They refused to reduce their own pay and benefits.
My husband didn't take pay for the month of August. Doesn't that count?
Again Norman Braman rides to the rescue of the residents and tax payers.
Carollo has two sealed records. The media tried but voters don't read.
I HEART Sue McConnell
The City of Miami is trying to ticket and fine taxpayers as much as possible. The recession has caused unemployment and crushed taxpayers yet the Mayor and commissioners want the remaining taxpayers to pay more.
Instead of reducing pay and benefits to realistic levels the City harasses taxpayers.
Norman Braman should sue the City.
Over at http://investigationmiami.blogspot.com/2010/09/worlds-apart.html the editors of Investigation Miami ask some pointed questions; one of the best being the one of Comrade Czarnoff. Read more at I.M.
"Commissioner Marc Sarnoff, who with Commissioner Richard P. Dunn II pushed Bockweg's appointment, praised him for helping navigate through a legally complicated mural ordinance that Sarnoff says is now the envy of other cities. CRA board members unanimously endorsed Bockweg's appointment."
Hey Sarnoff, I thought you were stunned about the ordinance's very existence? So you're finally admitting this Bockweg promotion and obscene compensation package is pay back for carrying your baggage in sucking up to an industry that contributes millions to political campaigns?

Lt. Governor of California, Abe Maldonaldo, in an interview with Fox News just credited the L.A. Times for unconvering the abuse of power by city officials at the City of Bell, CA. Maldonado also mentioned legislation and ordinances will be drafted requiring for all documents to be posted on-line for transparency purposes.
The City of Miami already has such ordinances on its book, but not obeying its own laws. Chuck you know that the City is not posting information required for public viewing and about their ongoing abuses. Can you please move your ass or at very least start moving your pen? You are moving at the same pace as the City. Every time I look at you I can't to think that you might be a turtle
We love Norman Braman.
Too bad Pieter and Sarnoff didn't work on the marlins contract.
That's right they did.
Other cities are trying to get rid of billboards.
Why did they take a flat payment for the mega billboards instead of a percentage of gross with a minimum?
