ETHICS COMMISSION UNETHICAL?

We kept wondering why it is that a seemingly clear cut case of ethics violation would be dismissed by the Miami Dade Ethics Commission...

And then it hit us!

Remember back in December when the City passed its ethics ordinance requiring "tough new ethics training" for politicians and lobbyists?

Guess who is administering the training???

So how much City money is going to the Ethics Commission for this course?

Maybe Super Investigative Reporter Chuck Rabin can find out.  And Chuck, don't just "ask" them, they'll lie to you.  File a records request like the rest of us and do your job.

Once again, Chairman Marc David Sarnoff, Esquire, proves to be quite the smart one, making sure the Ethics Commission is on the monetary hook with the City.

Sarnoff opens the city wallet, and becomes above the law.

Only the feds can fix this place.

Richard Dunn used Sarnoff's campaign manager Steve Marin to notch his first victory.

More no-bid contracts in the City's future?

Sarnoff is KING!

Seriously, if the Miami-Dade County Ethics Commission can't be truly independent with carrying its duties and responsibilities regardless of the public entity, public official, business, etc. being investigated, than its time for the following:

1) Ask for Robert Myers resignation, or
2) Reform or even abolish the Ethics Commission.

Within the past several years, too many honest and ethical public employees who have assisted the Ethics Commission with their investigation have been retaliated against by being fired, while the investigated public official, individual, or business have gone unscathed from being charged.

The Ethics Commission has become a facade giving cover to those wrongdoers serving no public pupose whatsoever. Both the public employees and the general public has lost its faith in the Ethics Commission under its current leadership and operation. Reform or aboloshing it should be a consideration.

How much of my taxpayer money is going to the Ethics Commission from the City of Miami for their supposed "ethics" training???

The "ethics training" money is going to the FIU Metropolitan center, not the Ethics Commission. This was a pay back from Mayor Regalado to his pollster/political analyst buddy, Dario Moreno. While Moreno is no longer the Director, he ringing up the cash register when the $200/head requirement class was first instituted. You may want to look into this sweet little deal too.

Look at the ordinance, the Ethics Commission AND Dario Moreno teach the course, they are both corrupt!

Sarnoff is a low life whore, and Tomasito is even worse. Armando and Steve are the pimps.

Wasn't there another Ethics complaint filed against Sarnoff? What was that complaint?

Patience, folks. Rome was not built in a day, and the corruption in Miami City Hall will not be undone in a month.

With a little bit of luck the brass ring might be closer than we all think.

Many have forgotten how Manny Diaz got a slap on the wrist for his involvement with the Fire Fee. They never looked into Joe Arriola and Hank Adorno has lost his career. Go figure...

Manny Diaz is yesterday's news, and Regalado's shenanigans makes him look like a choir boy.

When in Rome... said...

There are two translations on internet which one is correct:

1- Roma die uno non aedificata est (Rome wasn't built in one day)

2- Nec uno die condita est Roma, nec uno cecidit die (Rome was not built in a day, nor in a day did it fall)

They're both right. The difference is one uses aedificare (aedificata) as the verb , the other uses condere (condita). Aedificare means 'to build' in the sense of actual construction. Condere is more like building in the sense of founding.

If you want the one that goes better with 'Rome wasn't built in a day,' go with #1.

Rome was not built in a day, but Miami will be destroyed in 4 years...

I don't think Wilbur Jackson is the mole, more likely Elvis Cruz?

The more I read about this scummissioner dick the cockroach scamnorff, the more disgusted I am. This miserable example of a man is so sleazy and greasy that nothing sticks to him. He is worse than the snot of a camel's nose.

How about Major Al Alvarez being sleazy and greasy and getting on with Teresa while the Commiss has been away? Al your not only into prostitutes, but into the Commissioner's wife! You really have no shame. What you did not know you were both being followed?

Can you blame Teresa for cheating on her husband? She's probably yearning for a real man instead of that spineless lowlife.

Marc, next time you are out of town in London with the Queens, maybe you want your good friend, Wilbur Jackson to watch the lovely Teresa for you. He'll do anything for the money. Sure the lovely Teresa is yearning .. but not for a MOLE!

Neil Bayer sneaking into his office at Sarnoff & Bayer? No Business Tax Receipt? 4 employees?
Violations galore.

What happened to Sarnoff's campaign promise to be a full-time commissioner?

Anonymous said...

I think you're mistaken about his promise. He promised to be a full time liar and a scoundrel.

What's up with Chuck Rabin? He couldn't count over 1 employee in the illegal law office? One site? Or one home and one office?

Chuckie,
Who is pressuring you?
