WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY?

We told you this was a giant farce, a big fuck up from Tony and Regalado.

Now the New Times is catching on...
It was a recent Tuesday night at an Overtown community center, and McNeil had come to hear a presentation by Paul Philip, an ex-FBI chief hired by the City of Miami to investigate the Police Department's fatal shootings of seven black men since last summer. McNeil's son Travis was the most recent to die by a police bullet, and it was her first chance to meet Philip, a man she hoped would hold the department accountable.

So she was surprised when he announced that his research showed that under current Chief Miguel Exposito, police weren't shooting more often than they had under ex-Chief John Timoney.
Then she saw his report.

The first entry in Timoney's section read, "Dog Shot by Officer." So did the second. And the eighth. And the tenth.

"It was crazy to see him even associate the life of a person with the life of a dog," McNeil says.

What's also crazy is how the Herald and the rest of the media are giving Philip, Tony, and Regalado a free pass on this!

Where is the accountability?

Why is Philip being paid $70,000 to do something the Feds are doing FOR FREE?

Why won't Regalado, who was so quick in getting rid of Timoney, do the same with Exposito?

When Regalado says that in the inner city "violence will be met with violence" he is equating the residents of the inner city with dogs.  So it is no surprise that Dunn, Crapp, and all the other "professional blacks" will echo the master's chorus.

To Chukie and all the other "journalists," start asking the tough questions, start holding the mayor and manager accountable, or continue to wallow in irrelevance.

Why aren't the blacks up in arms over black-on-black crimes? Why is it that in the black community there are never any witnesses to murders and rapes? Why aren't blacks complaining about teenage drop-outs with $800 guns?

We don't expect Tony Crapp, a non-City resident who lives in SW Kendall, to complain but why don't residents complain?

Why don't Liberty City residents complain when their 16 year old neighbors rob grandmothers?

It may be hard for you to understand as someone not in law enforcement looking in but under state law if the facts reported on the case are correct and im sure they are, the shootings are within the law.

No city of officer in their right mind would shoot a black male knowing with out a shadow of a doubt the world of politics and witch hunts will come down on them like a laser beam. You and the media fail to mention the amount of violent crime in these neighborhoods. Several days ago, a innocent teacher and her son were shot one block from mcniels home yet, no outrage or media spotlight? Regalado's media will not report inner city crime why is that?? Because reverands and politicians see is only dollar signs!! not justice.

What would you like to see happen? see a police officer arrested? when less than one percent of the shootings in Miami are police related?

You all make excellent points. So why bring in Paul Philip, pay him $70,000 to put together some bullshit report?

The black community needs to show outrage and have marches to protest blacks killing blacks. Many murders are not even reported.

Paul Phillip is back ... So there is no accountability - get it ??

Families should teach kids not to carry illegal guns. Rev Dunn wants the criminals to get to shoot first before the Police get to shoot back.

They could have all the protests and marches and vigils but that won't do any good. You think any of those things are going to stop the violence? You think these young men carrying guns and doing illegal acts are going to stop just because some people get together on the street? I doubt it. Not to mention that Commissioner Rev Dunn is too busy to pay attention to his district unless it's news worthy. It's outright disgusting. He'll have a whole service dedicated to how bad the pooooolice is. How about having a service to stop the violence within your district? To stop the drugs? Maybe? Nah I don't think so.

Paul Philip worked for the FBI and as such has no experience in police shootings. The FBI, unlike a police department do not play the same role and are not first responders. Shootings involving any federal agency is investigated by the local police department because of their expertise and training. Philips does not have the qualifications to do the job the city claims he was hired for. His inexperience is evident when he included dog shootings in the reports that were giving to him by the police department. The only reason he was hired was because of the color of his skin to appease the community. He is a respected individual that I am sure would not have been hired if he was white. The community is being deceived by the creation of an illusion orchestrated by Regalado working his city manager puppet. How can the community be so blind.

Until the real problems are tackled these lost kids will continue to play with guns and grow up thinking its ok to live a "thug" lifestyle.
You have single young mothers having 4-9 kids living on government assistaance. The kids father figure?drog dealers in the corner, its a never ending cycle.

Why doesn't Rev Dunn go the schools and tell students not to get pregnant?

Why doesn't Dunn tell witnesses to come forward?

Why did Paul Philips give such stupid quotes to reporters?
