NO COJONES

Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado worked for more than eight years to see the opening of a brand-new fire station in Flagami. But on Saturday, Regalado and his fellow commissioners weren't there to celebrate the dedication of Fire-Rescue Station 11.

"I do resent it,'' Regalado said. ``At least they could have recognized that I worked many, many hours as a commissioner for that fire station. One thing has nothing to do with another.''

Pobrecito Tomasito!
Who is in charge here?

The Unions?

You ARE the Mayor.

So why not show up?

Why are you so afraid of them?

You prefer playing the victim to the bad press?

Avoiding another "public relations nightmare."

Pobresito Tomasito!

No leadership.

No cojones.

  1. That fire station belongs to the tax payers, tomass represets the tax payers, he should have told the millionaire fire fighters to go fuck themselves.

  2. No courage.

90% of Miami fire union members take money from Miami yet live somewhere else. They don't vote in Miami. They don't pay taxes in Miami.

Taxpayers who live and who own property in Miami paid for the new $6 mil fire station. Were they thanked? Were they invited to the ribbon cutting?

Elected officials need to learn to respect the taxpayers.

Excessive pay and benefits will bankrupt Miami.

  3. And get bad TV publicity on Channel 23 from the fireman protest? HAHAHAHA!

  4. There were hundreds of neighbors and kids there. Nice family event. Tomasito should have attended.

  5. What bankrupts the city are the decisions of the inept commissioners and the mayor. Keep believing that firemen are millioners. The fire station opening was completly open to the public. Many residents from the area did show up. The opening of station 11 was not a private party. So stop talking shit Mr. MARI CON.

  6. Oh am mr mari con, when a fireman shows up at your house, make sure you tell him to go fuck himself as you ask him for help.

  7. When you meet one of the fire Chiefs ask him why he gets paid $360,000? Sitting at a desk. Ask him if his $325,000 per yr pension x 30 years = $9 Mil or $11 mil.

No offense to firemen, they take what stupid commissioners give them.

  8. 22:10 & 22:11, next time you're lounging around the fire house during one of those two or three days you show up for work each week, pick up an English book and have someone read it to you or even better call your union rep and have him post comments on these blogs for you that don't embarrass your fellow firefighters.

See kids, why go to school when you can drop out and earn several hundred thousand dollars a year as a fireman?

  9. So if the firefighters are all a bunch of overpaid crybabies why did Tomasito stay away? He didn't want bad publicity?

  10. How about putting a charter amendment on the ballot eliminating the elected officials pension plan.

  11. How about pulling a Ronald Reagan on the Police and Fire Unions. These people dont know how good they have it.

  12. "How about pulling a Ronald Reagan on the Police and Fire Unions."

    Reagan had balls.

    Tomasito does not.

With 13% unemployment, I would love to see these firefighters try to find a job as good as the one they have now.

  13. the no apperance by the mayor and commissioners is really baffling.the employees seem to call the shots.we are really in good shape.it confirms what i have always suspected about the city bureaucracy and employees;the servants have become the masters and the masrers the servants.

  14. The Crespo-Gram Report contains an interesting article on who might be wearing at City Hall.

  15. The taxpayers should be the masters but instead have become the servants while Tomasito and company rape us all

  16. 90% of the firemen live in gated communities in Broward County or homes in Kendall. They don't live, vote or pay taxes in Miami. Why does Mayor Regalado let union members boss him around?

  17. The Crespo-Gram Report contains an interesting article on who might be wearing a wire at City Hall. What is more interesting is that a wire has been at the MRC and City Hall for a very long time!

  18. What happened to Al's blog post regarding the wire?

  19. Regalado lets Armando Gutierrez push him around, he lets the out-of-town based firemen push him around, he lets billboard companies push him around.

Why does he refuse to fire incompetent Larry Spring?

  20. Larry has the goods on Sarnoff!

  21. Carlos Migoya is the City Manager. If someone is smart why would they keep failed CFO Larry Spring around
    ?

Spring was a main salesman for the $3.5 Bil Marlins bailout. Spring hired by Marlins?

  22. We all sit back and complain about the inability of the City of Miami to govern correctly. However, the problem is the voteing public of the City of Miami. How can you teach the voters to elect qualified individuals, rather than just another Cuban who gets on latin radio and TV and tells nothing about what he or she stands for. Look at the Mayor of Miami Dade The first place he goes is to the Latin radio and TV stations to fight his re-call. I guess all us non-latins have to learn spanish or we are out of the loop. I say to all you City of Miami voters, you got what you deserve. You all voted these crooks in now suffer for their actions or inaction. Maybe next election the City voters will do the right thing, naw. that will never happen here in Miami. If the last twenty years of watching crook after crook be elected is any indication of what maybe is ahead for the City hold on tight its going to be a wild ride.

  23. I thought Larry Spring moved to the West Coast? No?

  24. Take me out to the ball game22 October 2010 at 06:03

He may have 'eaten' the West Coast, but no, don't think so. He has it TOO good in Miami! Just read his 'financial' report. Most interesting. Season tickets to the Marlins?

  25. This fat fuck and his henchman Basil binns dont do shit for the taxpayers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Larry Spring has season tickets to the Marlins? Did he get them for free? No wonder he acted like a salesmen while he told commissioners to divert $3.5 Bil from the taxpayers to the Marlins.

What's up with the useless lazy no-experience Basil Binns? Larry Spring makes the taxpayers pay him $75,000 plus benefits?
