SPECIAL: WHY PUBLIC SECTOR?

Young, African-American professional, well educated.

B.S. in Management, with a major in Accounting from Tulane University.

Eight year private sector banking, with management experience in auditing, financial and regulatory accounting, and controller duties.  Also a Certified Public Accountant.

Sounds quite impressive.

And sounds like a well qualified professional who would be making a great living in the private sector, contributing to the City of Miami economy.

But Larry Spring is not in the private sector world, since 2003 he has been a public employee.

So why would someone with this much "talent" not be making money in the "real world" and instead be in the public sector?

The same question applies to "new media mogul" Will Plasencia, recently hired by our friend Chairman Marc David Sarnoff.

The answer?

Larry and Will know that life in the Miami private sector will NEVER be better than in the public sector.

It's part of our City's "Third World" charm bitches!

Take Larry for instance:

$171,000 base salary, plus the car and phone allowance.

The six weeks paid vacation and the six weeks paid sick leave.

A pension.

And all this for relatively low pressure.

With all the financial shenanigans going on at City Hall, any C.P.A. would have lost their license by now.

But not Larry.

He and Will know they'll never find a job like this anywhere.

Which is why Larry will do ANYTHING to keep his job.

And working for the city means Larry can keep his "OTHER" job.

Oh, you didn't know Larry has a side business?

It's not his fault, most high paid City bureaucrats have side businesses too...

  1. I agree. Take a look at the new Parking Surcharge contract. This is a contractual scheme between Larry Spring, Diana Gomez, Scott Simpson, Fred Bredemeyer, and Frank Laso. They have come with a scheme to personally benefit from the contract.

  2. THE TRUTH SAYS.......

Manny Diaz and Joe Arriola are behind this entire ordeal regarding the billboards. When this all started Diaz was the Mayor and Arriola the City Manager. Some will say that Diaz and Arriola had a fall out and both Arriola and Regalado desires for Diaz's head to be served on a platter. Others will say that no fall out ever took place. It was all in act to keep other shady deals out of the limelight.

In the meantime, Arriola's voice and presence remains in a resounding manner at Miami's City Hall. Once again this can be seen in the hiring of William Plasencia by Commissioner Sarnoff, which was at the behest, of Joe Arriola. Mr. Plasencia serves as Vice-President on the board of Kristi's House. Joe Arriola's son, Eduardo Arriola, also sits on the board, and both of them share the same dais with guess who? Fred Briedemeyer, currently serving as President of the Kristi's House.

IT'S ALL ONE FUCKING BIG HAPPY FAMILY! WHICH BY THE WAY INCLUDES A BLACK STEPCHILD PLAYED BY LARRY SPRING. MR. EDUARDO ARRIOLA ALSO SERVES ON THE BOARD OF TOTALBANK. YES, INDEED, LARRY SPRING'S OLD STOMPING GROUNDS, WHERE HE WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF TOTALBANK AS VICE-PRESIDENT AND CONTROLLER.

  3. THE TRUTH CONTINUES.......

The one fucking big happy family continues as Mark Trowbridge was the former Deputy Executive Director for Business Development of the Miami Parking Authority. Yes, the same Miami Parking Authority that Fred Bredemeyer worked as its Chief Operating Officer.

It appears that Mr. Arriola is one hell of a ringmaster with a tremendous supporting cast. They are all in it together to enrich themselves and further their interests. Arriola, Bredemeyer, Simpson, Spring, Gomez, Trowbridge, etc.

Also, please don't forget ART NORIEGA! This fucker does not have clean hands. Remember, this is the best friend of Oscar Rivero, the scandalous and crooked developer, arrested and serving jail time for stealing millions of the Miami-Dade Housing Agency's dollars for his personal benefit, including his multi-million dollar home. Not only is Mr. Rivero Art's best friend he use to serve as the Miami Parking Authority Chairperson. You see there is not much difference between Mr. Rivero and the folks mentioned herein.

And yes, Mr. Rivero is also a friend of the Arriola family. To see the names and faces of some of the players see, http://www.loopconsulting.com/projects/mpa/n1/.

  6. There is no love loss between Diaz and Arriola. Diaz caught on to Joe's lying ways and sent him packing. Joe can fool some of the people some of the time but. . . you know the rest.

  7. Anonymous 16:39. I work at City Hall. Manny Diaz brought Joe Arriola to Miami in the same manner that Merrit Stierham kicked him out of the Miami-Dade Public School System. Diaz brought him to Miami because of his lying and canniving ways. Please don't go saying now that Diaz got rid of him for his lying or else I will be forced to unravel the whole entire scheme!

Diaz is much at fault as Regalado, Sarnoff and Arriola, because this entire coy commenced under the leadership of Manny Diaz.

  8. 17:41, Let's hear the scheme.

  9. Anonymous 17:41. It is all about the money scheme. Mayor Diaz fucked over so many people including those close to him. Along the way it involved secretly supporting Marc Sarnoff in his 2006 campaign for City Commissioner. Both Diaz and Arriola backed Sarnoff, while certain campaign managers for his opponent were instructed to lay low and be non-aggressive.

  10. Larry Spring is not a CPA. Was never a CPA. Check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I work at City Hall too, it was all part of an evil plan between Diaz, Arriola, the Legion of Doom, Kim Jong Il, Mao, and the Knights Templar. I will unravel the whole thing soon in a book I am writing called the Da Vinci Code.

  12. What is going on with the new contract to review the parking surcharge enforcement? Is the contract holder being bought off?
    Who is involved?

Why did Sarnoff put another of his personal publicists on the city payroll? Doesn't he learn?

To the firemen that are complaining. Vote Stagnetta out of office. Oh, the vast majority of the City of Miami firemen dont even live in the city. Well, Too bad you cant vote here.
You guys, as much as you dont want to hear or accept it are part of the problem. Just like the Police and City Employees. No City can function when nearly 85% of every tax dollar payed by taxexpayers is spent on Employee Salaries & Pensions. No City, let alone this City. And Yes, this does not included "FEES". Fees is just another name for a tax!

    Completely true.
The City of Miami faced a $110 mil deficit. Maybe more. 85% of all revenues go to salaries and benefits. The fire union members get the largest amount on a pro-rata basis. 200+ firemen making over $200,000 per year?

Unions depend on stupid and/or weak elected officials. A sure bet.

Pay and benefits are still much too high. Now fees have been increased 5% to 200%. Taxpayers are screwed. Firemen don't care because few live in Miami.

Trauma nurses have more training than EMT's and paramedics and they earn $50,000 per year not $155,000+...

I bet lots of qualified trauma and emergency room nurses would love to work 3-4 days a week for $45,000 to $55,000 per year.

I bet these new hires would even agree to live in Miami?

  18. Go ahead and expose whatever little scheme you THINK you know. Diaz did not support Sarnoff in his first election (Diaz supported Linda Haskins). Linda would have made a much better Commish and Diaz knew it. By that time, Arriola was out of office and supported Sarnoff because Diaz was against him. You might think you know, but if you were really an insider from City Hall, you would know full well that Joe Arriola was forced to quit by Diaz. Diaz is the most respectable man to have ever walked through the doors of City Hall. The garbage that is there now. . . STINKS!

P.S. If you are still working at City Hall then you are a criminal or leftover Regalado spy. No one that worked for Diaz that had any self respect or decency is still employed at 3500 Pan American Drive. Everything decent left that address when Diaz did.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Anon 1846 You are delusional and/or misinformed. Diaz sent Arriola packing when he became aware of Joe's lying and conniving ways.

  20. 17:41, Let's hear the scheme.

  21. to 13:30

You have a one sided view. You probably live in Broward County?

Diaz created the "smoke and mirrors" budgets that took Miami from $140 mil in reserves to a $100 mil deficit. Diaz spent like a drunken sailor and left Miami facing bankruptcy.

Diaz did take a $100,000 per year pension for himself. He contributed zero.

Diaz left Miami under the cloud of a SEC investigation into his money transfers that will cost Miami many millions.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I agree, and Tomasito and Larry Spring with Sarnoff will fix it all

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anon 13:30 & 13:37 apparently use to work for Mayor Diaz. For the record Diaz supported Haskins only when Haskins was around, but behind the scenes you both know he supported Sarnoff. And nothing has changed since. Look at Sarnoff's campaign donations today and Diaz once again is backing him up.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes, Diaz and Lex Luthor orchestrated it all. Thank God for Regalado cleaning it all up. Sarnoff is awesome too!!

  29. I am amazed at what people think they know...there are some decent people that work at city hall. They are not playing politics but working to provide for their families. The sad part is when they try and bring some of the real issues to the forefront all if the "drama" in these blogs overshadow it.
P.S. why does Larry have to be a "black step child" and not just a "stepchild"?

Is there some Marlins money hidden in those disclosures?
