REGALADO MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR CHIEF EXPOSITO'S ACTIONS!

Miami's lack of memory has allowed Mayor Regalado to pull the wool over the lapdog media and distance himself from controversial Chief Miguel Exposito.

The latest victim of this hoodwink is Hank Tester over at CBS 4, writing that: "It also galls Mayor Tomas Regalado, who fears unrest in the streets. Yet the mayor seems to understand the dilemma when he says, "We got to figure out what to say."

But it was only a little over a year ago, when Mayor Regalado first took office, that he made ridding Miami of Chief John Timoney his number one priority.

Back then, Armando Aguilar, president of the Police union gave the reasons for seeking Timoney's ouster:

“There’s been nothing but turmoil since he started at this police department,” Aguilar told the press last weekend. “It’s been hell on our troops. He’s basically destroyed morale.”

Read today's Crespo Gram Report.

Can anyone honestly say morale has improved under Exposito?

Regalado followed with "“My move is to keep saying to the city manager that I’m very uncomfortable with the chief,” Regalado told the press. “I will say that every day. People get messages.”

Does anyone really think that Regalado can't get his lackey Tony Crapp to do what he wants?

So why could Regalado get rid of Timoney and not Exposito?

The answer is partly in today's Herald that reveals that former manager Migoya are accusing Regalado of stalling a raid on gambling machines.

And who is the officer making the accusation?  Chairman Sarnoff pal Al Alvarez.

The plot thickens, and Regalado is caught in the middle.

His utter incompetence and "keen knack" have led him to this.

Time to be held accountable, and time for him to exercise some leadership.

Otherwise, prison is looming in the distance.

  1. This is all Regalado's fault for sucking up to the police union and replacing Timoney with Exposito.

I really hope he is hauled off to jail for his misdeeds, maybe people will learn to elect decent people to office and not scum like Retardado.

  2. Mayor Regalado will soon find out through another lawsuit that he interfered with the operations of another Department and physical evidence will prove it.

  3. Mr. Gottlieb:

Why the silence? Now that you are once again a 'citizen', why haven't we heard your opinions on these issues. Harry, speak up, we miss you and we love you!

    Welcome back!

  4. I don't mind seeing Regalado in jail ... So long as turds like Sarnoff, Alvarez, Migoya, Martinez, et al, are there to keep each other company

  5. Sarnoff's not so bad.

  6. Sarnoff has been working very hard behind the scenes with Al Alvarez to discredit and hurt Regalado. He has openly laughed and ridiculed the mayor for the past six months.

How is it that Regalado doesn't recognize that his worst enemy is commissioner Sarnoff? Al Alvarez loves to tell everyone that he and Sarnoff are "brothers from another mother"...

Does that mean that he and Sarnoff still share "The General" as a grandfather?

  7. Marc Sarnoff is a pathological liar. He lies for no other reason than to lie.

Forget about the lie he told for years regarding his grandfather, this poor pathetic asshole has also told dozens of people that his lovely wife Theresa is the granddaughter of ex-US secretary of the Navy James Forrestal. ( and bragged that her "grandad" had an aircraft carrier named after him). The problem is that her maiden name is spelled differently.

Hmmmmmm... I think I know what happened. Marc made an innocent mistake. Theresa's last name is actually Nimitz and her real grandfather does actually have an aircraft carrier named after him.

    Sounds plausible.

  9. In the previous "Go Ahead Tony, We Dare you!" blog posting a blogger posted bring back the previous Purchasing Director. As a city employee, all I can tell you is that he did not play politics and he did not like to see any inequalities or injustices. The man was too good for the City and I only hope he is off working for a better employer.

In closing, we all know what the former City Manager, Commissioner Sarnoff, and Major Al Alvarez did to him.

Glenn, wherever you are, we miss you and I hope you are doing well. You are a good man and only hope the Mayor realizes that these folks did to you, what they are doing to him.

  14. Rundle giving the nod to expo to arrest Regalado is plausible since she's in the Sarnoff camp. Please god let this happen.

  18. A challenge for TBM or Crespo6 January 2011 at 13:03

"Regalado followed with "“My move is to keep saying to the city manager that I’m very uncomfortable with the chief,” Regalado told the press. “I will say that every day. People get messages.”

TBM - this statement on it's own is a total charter violation. The Mayor cannot dictate to the manager who he should hire or fire.
    It's a felony, I believe.
Can you send a copy of your post to Kathy Rundle with a direct question about this?
Otherwise, maybe Al CRESPO might do this and print the answer in him Report.
I remember when the State Attorney's Office brought in Mayor Xavier Suarez for questioning after he tried to do the same.

  21. This whole situation is completely out of control, beginning with the Chief of Police, what ever his name is. This has probably been the worst chief of police for the City of Miami Police Department. After living in Miami for over 40 years I see no end to this until they resign with what little dignity they may have. Its time for the Governor to step or for them to step down.

  22. Why is Exposito being given a pass for promoting Jorge Colina to a staff position. Colina recieved a reprimand for using the "N" word. Now he is a senior staff member at the city of miami police department. Just another example of the incompetence and bigotry at the MPD led by Exposito.

  23. 12:50, don't underestimate Rundle? Are you kidding me? She's a damn joke as is what has become of her office.

  24. I could see Regaldo Friday morning uttering those famous Miami words to himself or out loud directed at Marc DAVID Sarnoff, " Joo wanna play ruff? Ok, let's play ruff.....say ello to my lil' fren..." Then signing Willy Gort as the new head of commission therefore checkmating Marc DAVID. The great thing about this is that just like in the Godfather II when Frankie "5 Angels" took his shot at Don Corleone and missed, sooner or later you are going to get a visit from good old Tom Hagen telling you you're done...it's just a matter of how you choose to go out. Omar said it best in The Wire...."you come at the King, you best not miss..." Well you took your shot Marc DAVID and co., the problem is Kathy Rundle pulled a bait-n-switch. Politics 101 states you do what is best for you. Arresting a Cuban Mayor all but sinks all hopes she would have for elected office in this town. You don't need to have passed the class Sarnoff Ethics 212 to know that hermano. I give you this you snake in the grasses, the lengths you will go seem to have no bounds; ethically, morally and politically. There will come a day when us lunchpail 9 to 5 rank and files get to look you in the eye sir and throw your own words back directly in your face when we say, and I quote, " Oh yes sir you did know." Your parents raised you, and then you chose the path you are on. The only question left is what could you possible say to your maker when he asks you to judge your own life. Did you serve the people? or did you serve yourself and use that power the people gave for your own personal gain....Vengeance is mine says the Lord

  26. Well it has finally happened that the Mayor of Miami our highly qualified Cuban-American chief is upset that someone is following him around. Maybe its because the Mayor was upset that he could not controll his own police department while the Mayor was trying to block the raids on the small spanish stores that have these electronic games that are used by the public to gamble and operated by the Mayor's buddies. Now we have a Cuban-American Mayor and a Cuban-American Police Chief at war with each other, and who knows where this display of third world hispanic garbage will stop. All that is lacking is a news report that Castro was seen on SW 8 street and is behind all that is wrong in Miami. I pray for the day that Castro is gone from Cuba so all who want to go back home can and start to rebuild your home land again. In the mean time try to act like normal citizens not a bunch or crazy Cubans like you all do most of the time. Like I have said before Cuban-Americans are great people but your ideas of how a government should be run is one step away from a banana republic strong man type government. Let's see if we can make the front pages of several leading newspapers nation wide about this so everyone can get a good laugh as we the people of Miami suffer with these crazy Cuban political leaders.

  27. EXTRA, EXTRA.....The Mayor and Tony Crapp, Jr. is about to fire Johnny Martinez and Alice Bravo and will be bringing back a former Director back.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Johnny isn't stupid enough to get caught up in this kind of mess.

    ReplyDelete
  29. MORE EXTRA, EXTRA....The Mayor and Tony Crapp, Jr. is also going to fire Kenneth Robertson and Diana Gomez. The Mayor found out that Kenneth Robertson is a Sarnoff ally and Ms. Gomez has been a vocal critic along with Major Al Alvarez of his slot machine ordinance.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hey P. Nis, trust me when I tell you, Martinez is very close to Migoya and Sarnoff. The Mayor has figured out that for the last 8 months Migoya placed Sarnoff's people in place at the City. The Mayor will slowly undo all of those changes. Johnny Martinez is one of those individuals. Johnny have you started to kiss the Mayor's ass yet?

    ReplyDelete
  31. The Mayor has to act quickly! Sarnoff has been seen with Migoya, Exposito, Alvarez, Spring, Gomez, Martinez, Bravo, Bockweg, etc. I think they are plotting their next several moves.

  36. Martinez nor Bravo will be fired ... They are too good at what they do ... Robertson is there only because of them ... Bring Glenn Marcos back !! Bring Ola Aluko back !! Bring Stephanie Grindell back !! Bring Kelley Barket back !! Bring Bill Anniddo back !!

  37. A former Director is seen leaving City Hall.....

    ReplyDelete
  38. The only one listed by anonymous 08:26 that deserves to be back is Glenn Marcos, non of the others can even come close to his ethics and integrity.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Glenn Marcos - integrity ?? Honesty ?? ... Maybe Diana Gomez can answer those questions to his wife ... Please ... The City I'd nothing but a whore house for all of the employees ... Some firefighters have "scored" on every floor ...

    ReplyDelete
  40. 9:09 doesn't know the guy very well apparently. Ask those that worked for him or that were relying on him to get work done and you will hear a different story. Marcos played politics with his job and he got screwed by the one he trusted. Move on.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ola Aluko had no ethics. He was as crooked as can be be. Ola handed out sweetheart contracts to his friends and he forced the City to overpay for everything. Who would want him back?

Kelly Barkett received compliants over many years. He handed out too many take-home cars, cameras, city property. Massive losses.

Bill Annido was worth $48,000 per year, not $200,000. Let him stay in the private sector.

How about firing all the City employees who have been arrested?
