TOMAS REGALADO IS THE WORLD'S BIGGEST HYPOCRITE!

NOW

“This is a huge complex that will bring to Brickell Avenue, downtown Miami and East Little Havana an energy it has never, ever seen before,” said Regalado, who will take the nontraditional step of presenting a developer’s project to the City Commission.

“I think it needs to carry the clout of the office of the mayor to send a message that this is a huge project for the city of Miami.”

THEN

Tomás Regalado, the longtime city commissioner whose campaign platform centered on putting a stop to what he has called wasteful spending on large public projects, won a sweeping victory in Miami's mayoral race yesterday. He had attacked Mayor Manny Diaz, who was not up for reelection, on development initiatives like downtown highrises...

Ask the man most people expect to be Miami's next mayor to describe his vision for the city, and you might as well stick eight years of skyline-filling rapid development in mothballs.

"Tell the people how their money is being spent. No backroom deals. Any grandiose projects, we take to the voters,'' says Miami Commissioner Tomás Regalado. ``We do need to take a breather.''

The anti-Manny Diaz? The approach may be sticking.

Mr. Regalado comes across as favoring a quieter, simpler time in Miami’s past, serving the constituents he’s sipped cafecitos with for decades while trying to protect them from the “uncompromising dream of a bustling metropolis”. As far as he is concerned, the city is trapped between the vise-like grip of developers and politicos, and is in danger of losing its’ soul.

I have known Tomas Regalado for 30 years. I used to sell Spanish Language radio ads and do some marketing for WQBA-FM.

Tomas was a star newscaster on WQBA-AM. He is a first class gentleman. I don’t know how he has managed to survive in the snake pit that is Miami politics and government. I told him today that this day for him announcing his candidacy for mayor is long overdo.

I am most confident that he will win.

Miami deserves to be lead by a leader that cares about the people and not one that is pals with the developers and lobbyists

Oh Harry...

We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

I have come across some information that both Johnny Martinez and Alice Bravo are looking to leave the City of Miami. They have put feelers out. In turn, that information came to me.

In the "Take Back Miami" posting herein, it reports that a couple years ago a nameless individual, who has known Tomas Regalado for 30 years and use to sell Spanish Lanaguage radio ads and do some marketing for WQBA-FM, does not know how Tomas -a star newscaster on WQBA-AM and first class gentleman-has managed to survive in the snake pit that is Miami politics and government.

Well to the nameless individual who I think is Armando Gutierrez. Your first class gentleman Tomas Regalado is no gentleman and he has survived the snake pit because he is the mother of all snakes and KING COBRA.

Tomas Regalado is a liar and a cheat.

He cheated on his taxes. He cheated on his wife. He cheated on his friends. He cheated the people when he stole gas.

Ask Cheater Regaldo how he abandoned his father on his deathbed.

  19. Just found out that the City is buying another property for Sarnoff. I wonder if he is going to help another campaign contributor or is he just looking to buy votes from upper eastside.

  21. Where is Kathy Fernandez Rundle?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Read in the Biscayne Times that the seller is trying to flip the property to the City for $635,00. When he brought it looks like he only paid $285,000. Sarnoff is even paying for the appraisals so that he can make sure that he gets the right guy at the right price to appraise it. Ms. Rundle I think that you should really look at purchase closely. Why is a commissioner paying for the appraisals? Why is the City letting someone make a $350,000 profit? Is it going to go towards Sarnoff's campaign or one of his cronies?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Migoya knew better as he slammed on the brakes. I bet that Ron Nelson also has something to do with it. He works behind the seens.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Somebody should take a hard look at Sarnoff and Ron Nelson's involvement in it all. Why would his office pay for the appraisals? Who is the Van Cel? Did he contribute to the campaign?

    ReplyDelete
  25. You should... its our hard earned tax dollars being thrown away on another property to help another campaign contributor and/or crony.

Sarnoff is going to win by a landslide. Regalado's daughter is our next mayor. Stop complaining and learn to live with it.

  30. How exactly does a property that is undeveloped when this Van Cel character bought it for $285,000 a year ago increase in value to $635,000 in this lousy real estate market? And why are the papers picking up the story about this particular purchase by the city? Is Sarnoff the official real estate broker for the city now ordering appraisals and negotiating land purchases? Katie Rundle should start doing the freaking job she was hired to do and start investigating these worthless politicians instead of just letting the city go down the drain because she is too useless to do the job the people elected her to do. And Sarnoff's days are definitely numbered-avarice will be his downfall!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Anonymous 17:55 Well said.

Lets just see how much they finally end up paying for this piece of property. I heard that Van Cel and Bob Powers are lovers I'm sorry the current term is "lifetime partners".

Bob Powers acts like the Palm Grove neighborhood in the Upper Eastside of Miami is his own personal kingdom. Maybe he is thinking of taking the profits on this deal to fix their home. Or maybe he will end up being the landscaper that happens to get the landscaping contract for the site, once it is purchased. Wasn't he also appointed by Sarnoff to the Miami Bayside Foundation? What monies are they using to purchase the property? Is anybody getting the link???? Yes Ms. Rundle you have a lot to look at as it couldn't get clearer.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Let's just see if I got this right.....
    1. Appraisals are paid by Commissioner Sarnoff to ensure price.
    2. The Commissioner's appointee to the Bayside Funds is also the "lifetime partner" of the seller.
    3. The "lifetime partner" may end up getting the contract to landscape the park.
    4. The City is going to give the happy couple $350,000 to renovate their new home.
    5. Ron Nelson orchestrated the whole thing.

I wonder what other Sarnoff employees are involved in this fiasco. Well I guess all you have to do is follow the trail for this story to unfold.

Has anybody reviewed Carlos Migoya's Agreement with Jackson Health System? I've attached the link below for your perusal.

Mr. Migoya shall be entitled to a Performance Bonus of $75,000 plus 2% of the sum of which the Earning BEFORE Interest Depreciation and Amortization (EBIDA) of JMH exceeds One Million Dollars up to a maximum bonus payment of 50% of Mr. Migoya's Base Salary.

First, what is referred to EBIDA in the agreement is not the correct definition of EBIDA. EBIDA must include Interest Depreciation and Amortization back into the Earning.

Second, the aspect of having a financially sound organization must include the factors of Depreciation and Amortization because Migoya can use a different method of calculation to depreciate Jackson's capital assets and refinance loans for longer terms (thus encountering long-term debt) at the expense to free up money in the short-term to increase Jackson's earnings.

MIGHT AS WELL FORK UP THE FUCKING BONUS MONEY OF $295,000 TO MIGOYA NOW. THIS IS A JOKE!

  36. I am thinking the city will pay whatever amount this Van Cel character and his lifetime partner want and then since Sarnoff is now the real estate broker/city attorney/commissioner we can add landscaper to the list so with his financial accounting experience he can find some money from the city's coffers so as to further bankrupt the city so he can pay his two "special friends" some more money before he is kicked to the curb from his seat in office! And meanwhile at the State Attorney's office the very incompetent Katie Rundle sits by the sidelines letting her friends at city hall get away with any and all illegal activity they desire while she puts jaywalkers in the electric chair!

Ms. Rundle you need to wake up and take action; otherwise, Sarnoff's toadies will continue to get rich while Sarnoff continues to get elected as long as he continues to buy votes using members of homeowners associations and has members of his staff (Ron Nelson) do his dirty work. First Brickell and now Upper Eastside. If Rundle doesn't take action, maybe the other commissioners will put a stop to all this? I know our household will never be voting for him. We are very disappointed.

And the city purchased a new park for $3 million...Mr Sarnoff forgot to say he got a good kickback and the next day Regalado gives Tibor a fancy proclamation from the city...all it costs was a mere $3 million-are you gonna give Van Cel a fancy proclamation too Mayor Regalado or are you gonna wait till the city overpays for that property as well so Van Cel can flip another property?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Van Cel seems to have been rattled at finding out his property isn't quite worth what he feels it should be...how to fix that...well one way is to get all his friends in the press to write slanderous columns regarding appraisal practices and then use his close personal "special friend" Sarnoff to strongarm the city into uping the value so he and his special friends can all be gay and merry again and have their pants bulge in all the right places with the money of the proceeds of the sale stuffed in their pockets!

  64. Van Cel's vacant lot is worth $200,000. Will Van Cell pressure Sarnoff and the City into paying more?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think Van Cel's property is worth a lot less than $200,000...lets see his neighbors are pimps, hookers, crackheads, johns, porn loving theather goers...everything you want to see on your way to the park with your children...just the type of environment young mothers want to walk through with their children or allowing parents to send little Tommy Tom and Sally Sue to walk to the park! Van Cel stop trying to make a profit on a property you know is not worth it-You made a lousy investment, you have a life time partner, lover, boyfriend whatever the hell you want to call your relationship cry on eachothers shoulders and chalk this up to inexperience investing on your part!

    The City needs the revenues.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well if Sarnoff wants the property so badly for the city, why doesn't he just buy it from Van Cel and donate to the city? For that matter if Van Cel wants the site "preserved as a park" as he once said a year ago when he first tried to unload the property, why was he looking into developing it and trying to sell it to the highest bidder? He saw away around his bad investing practices by way of unloading that pile of rocks and weeds on the city by coercing his friend Sarnoff into forcing the deal down the taxpayers throats! Maybe Van Cel has a secret video of Sarnoff and one or more of his "special friends" in compromising positions not proper for a commissioner to be seen in and thats why Sarnoff wants the property so badly??????
