REGALADOS WILL FIGHT CENSUS, ONLY AFTER DIAZ BROUGHT UP THE IDEA

The Press Office reports yesterday that Miami will fight census figures, believes population is over 500,000.

But Chuckie forgets to mention that former Mayor Manny Diaz penned an editorial for their newspaper that ran on March 25!

Cities must challenge U.S. Census count.

"Residents of cities like Miami cannot afford not to be counted. Miami, and cities like it, must challenge the 2010 census results. Failure to do so means only that we forfeit the economic and political benefits we rightly deserve."

So the Anti-Manny and his daughter take up the cause.

Now, why would Raquelita be involved in this unless she is planning a run for mayor in 2013?

And would it have been all that hard for Chuck Rabin to include mention of the Diaz editorial in his story?

Here's a great story idea for Chuck:

Look into all of the policy initiatives and programs that Diaz started that the Anti-Diaz has taken on as his own.

Nothing like continually criticizing someone and then stealing all his ideas.

But Chuckie won't do that will you.

We hope that whatever Regalado is paying you is worth enough to sell your journalistic and personal integrity.

  1. Of course the population in the City of Miami has declined. Taxpayers realize they are being overly taxed and overly fined so Regalado and Sarnoff can get fat juicy pensions. Taxpayers are abandoning Miami because they realize the vast majority of City employees are overpaid. Taxpayers are leaving because a majority of City executives live outside Miami, why shouldn't taxpayers leave too.

  2. The City of Miami is raping it's taxpayers. Parents are pulling their kids out of school. Regalado is surprised the population is down?

Without a scintilla of doubt Mayor Regalado is the most corrupted and worst Mayor in the City of Miami history. However, there are personnel residue from the Diaz's administration who were hired under Diaz that were incompetent, lazy, and willing to compromised their integrity and reputation then as they are today.

So in part, Diaz is partially to blame for what Regalado is doing today, because in many ways Diaz did the same during his tenure. Is just that Regalado has taken it to a whole new level. Blogs like Investigation Miami, Take Back Miami, Crespo-Gram Report, StrawBuyer, etc. has brought Regalado's corruption to surface, while Diaz's schemes and misdealings went unreported unless the Herald were reporting it.

So for comparison purposes, during Diaz's tenure they were hardly any blogs, and the mainstream media (The Miami Herald) dislike for Manny Diaz reported anything to discredit/embarrass him. So the general public were well informed about his misdealings. Under Regalado's tenure, the mainstream media (The Miami Herald) is part of the corruption and cover-up and it is the Blogs reporting Mayor Regalado, the Commission and Administration misdeeds. Therefore, only a segment of the community who are aware that these Blogs exists are well-informed.

But always remember, Larry Spring, Diana Gomez, Ernest Burkeen, Julie O. Brue, Basil Binns, Scott Simpson, Art Noriega, Pieter Bockweg, Orlando Toledo, Sergio Guadix, Timothy Schmand, Alyce Robertson, Pete Hernandez, Lynn Westall, Michelle Pina, Robert Fenton, Peter Korinis, etc. are leftovers from Diaz's administration. You have to have willing enablers and culprits in the Administration for these crooked Politicians to commit their crimes.

WHAT YOU HAVE IS AN ORGANIZED CRIME ORGANIZATION! INSTITUTIONAL CORRUPTION! PERPETUATED TIME AND TIME AGAIN BECAUSE THESE FOLKS IN THE ADMINISTRATION ARE THERE TO HELP THE POLITICIANS. THE ENTIRE HOUSE IN THE CITY MUST BE CLEANED-UP OR ELSE IT WILL BE MORE OF THE SAME, BUT WITH DIFFERENT NAMES AND FACES!!!!

  5. NORTH OBSERVER ... Pete Hernandez and Michele Pina are long gone ... Ernest Burkeen is a professional that does not deserve to be lumped in with the cess pool u named ... Regalado also got rid of plenty of dead wood ... And STILL he fails ...

Regatardo may have gotten rid of some dead wood ... But what he brought in is more like tree ferilizer ... Nothing is getting done on the streets ... Nothing is getting done in the parks ... At least the previous administration got SOMETHING done ...

  7. Ernest Burkeen was hired by Joe Arriola. Ernest is another high paid staffer who lives in Broward County. Ernest seems to hate parks. We know he likes his pay and benefits.

Anon @ 12:50, Pete Hernandez was hired by Mayor Manny Diaz and retained by Mayor Regalado to continue to follow through on dirty dealings. He performed magnificently until Regalado cut him loose. Michelle Pina was hired under Mayor Diaz's tenure and then left because she was caught having an affair with Carlos Migoya. Her husband gave her an ultimatum either leave the City or prepare for a divorce. She left. The point is that you have certain types of improprieties and the Administration who is suppose to be part of the "CHECKS AND BALANCES" of the system are "AIDING AND ABETTING" in the corruption.

It is obvious Anon @ 12:50, you work in or part of the City in some shape or form and benefiting from the current non-production taking place. If you are, I want to tell you personally you are worthless, useless human being and hold you in the same regards as feces. Let me guess. Are you also counting the days of your retirement? Are you vested already? Is it worth covering up for your boss?

  9. It is amazing how many City employees look at taxpayers as ATM machines, just cash boxes ready and willing to spit out money on demand.

How about those $300,000+ per year firemen? The firemen with the desk jobs?

  10. The point is that for all or Regalado's criticisms of Diaz, Regalado has no clear idea or vision for the city, he is a puppet of the billboard companies and lobbyists.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Regalado, Sarnoff, Dunn, Suarez, Gort and Carollo sure love sucking up to billboard companies, Carter, CBS, Clear Channel, FUEL, Van Wagner, City Outdoor and all the other outdoor advertising parasites. The City should have a neon sign at the MRC, "Open 24/7, All Billboards, All the Time". Review the April 14th Agenda. More billboards.

    PART I

    Al Crespo,

I want to commend you for your exhaustive researching and reporting efforts on the Meredith Nation: The Story is Actually Worse Than I First Reported Part II. However, they certain parts of your story I would like to shed light because it is quite obvious some of your sources have given you partial information in their efforts to make themselves look good. It is often the ploy used by the likes of Diana Gomez, Melania Basile, Peter Korinis, Greg Anderson, etc.

Meredith Nation "Loan Assignment" with the DDA was terminated last March. She was advised to return to the City accordingly. I have come across a witness who is willing to testify that Larry Spring and Diana Gomez were aware of this. As a matter of fact, there is an email from Alyce Robertson to Larry Spring informing him of Ms. Nation returning to CIP with former CIP Director Ola Aluko being part of that email chain.

So the intriguing question is, "If Ms. Nation's loan assignment was terminated and both Mr. Spring and former Director Ola Aluko were informed about her return to the City, why wouldn't these two administrators fire her back then for failure to report to work? Instead her failure not to appear for work did not become a major concern until Mr. Spring himself got hold of information that comments posted on blogs were reporting about Ms. Nation "9 Months No Show Job" and her employment in the Purchasing Department.

It was here, that Mr. Spring quickly sought cover and protection by requesting for Julie O. Bru to provide him with a Legal Opinion on the matter. She obliged. As a result of the Legal Opinion, Mr. Spring instructed Kenneth Robertson, the unqualified and useless Purchasing Director to fire Meredith Nation. He refused. Instead he reminded Mr. Spring that pursuant to his memorandum to Meredith Nation he was the one who hired Meredith Nation and now should be responsible for firing her. So he did.

Interesting enough the decision to fire Ms. Nation came as a result of several communications between the Mayor, Commisioner Sarnoff, Tony Crapp, Jr., Larry Spring, Diana Gomez, Johnny Martinez, Alice Bravo and Kenneth Robertson. They all agreed her hiring became a major distraction. They felt the comments on the blogs brought to surface her "NO SHOW" job for 9 months and prevented for the Mayor, Commission, and Administration to "rig bids" through her.

    PART II

Moreover, for Larry Spring to state that he believed that nothing wrong had happened because he believed Meredith Nation was being paid for her accrued vaction time is a farce. Using vacation time would have required, as you indicated in your story, for Mrs. Nation's timecard to be physically changed to reflect such. Thus, she would be no longer under the status of "Payroll by Exception" and requiring the approval by both the former and current CIP Director, Ola Aluko and Alice Bravo for her use of either Vacation and/or Sick Leave time. Even if Mr. Spring would have claimed that he was under the impression Meredith Nation was fired and still being paid for her unused Vacation and/or Sick Leave Time would not be correct because once an employee separates from the City, a one time lump sum check is disbursed containing all Vacation Time and/or a percentage of Sick Time Leave [depending on years of service] accrued.

It is quite obvious who are the Enablers. Aside from entering payroll into the Oracle system. My sources have informed me that Sheiza Revuelta would provide the former and current Director, Ola Aluko and Alice Bravo, with the physical form of payroll. They or Pilar Saenz (the former Assistant CIP Director who has since retired) would sign off on the physical form of payroll. So they all (Sheiza Revuelta, Ola Aluko, Alice Bravo and Pilar Saenz) saw Meredith Nation's name on their payroll. Upon approval and submittal, several days later, Ms. Sheiza Revuelta, would pick-up her Departments paystub from Melania Basile in the Finance Department. My sources have informed me that Ms. Revuelta would mail Meredith Nation's paystubs bi-weekly to her home address.

Furthermore, I already have the figure the City overpaid the Miami Firefighters. I'll just say that your figure is just an estimate and, therefore, way off base. I read the Audit Report published by the Auditor General in it is useless. Victor Igwe is part of the cover-up and corruption at the City of Miami. Why? Because he himself has been caught committing fraud by one of his current staff member, Lewis Blake. Mr. Blake has the evidence.

Base on the information I have, to state that "top administrators within the City Administration are concern with potential fraud being committed with the Oracle Payroll System" is absurd. Who is left in the Administration not mentioned herein?

  20. Listen up everyone. I'm working on a follow up story about the Regalado / Exposito anti corruption unit. Regalado says arrests are imminent. I am also working on another story regarding the rise in ethical behavior at the city after Regalado and Sarnoff made everyone take ethics classes taught by Dario Moreno and Joe Centorino. I want to show everyone that in spite of what this blog says, The Herald and I care about Miami and the people.

  23. No, really! One of the cases involves a GSA employee that is being investigated for making a personal phone call during work hours. Arrests are imminent! Mayor Regalado is really rooting out corruption, he told me so himself. This is also the most ethical mayor in city history.

  31. Retardado rooting out corruption? Yeah ok. For these scumbags ethics is the same as corruption. They engage is ridiculous behavior and then blame everyone else when the news comes out. The entire city of Miami government is a joke and a farce. Yet they blame everyone else for the city being broke.

  34. Anon 1903 ... I am most definitely NOT a proponent of the firings ... I thought the delineation clear ... Those fired and those responsible for the firings ... Fairly simple ...

  35. 18:08 and 19:47

    I was very confused.

People should realize that the City has far more employees than the tax base can support. Many many employees are vastly overpaid. Recently I heard a policeman brag that with no college degree he makes $90,000 per year plus $50,000 in benefits. Only employed 8 years. The City has executive assistants who make $110,000 plus benefits. No sense of reality.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @ 05:41
You're right - the policeman must have been bragging - and dreaming. In the city of Miami you will not find an 8 year cop that makes $90K, nor would that person EVEN REMOTELY make $50K in benefits.
Maybe he worked for the county - and was a beneficiary of Mayor Alvarez raises. But not the city

  38. I have no issues when people with credentials, knowledge and experience make high paying salaries and do their work, however, Retardado keeps hiring idiotic friends, retarded relatives, and incompentent staff. It is looking more and more like the inmates are running the asylum. Then in his infinite Wisdom, Retardado hires two ex employees from FDOT-Johnny (on the verge of getting fired from Dade County) Martinez, and Alice (anybody hear of the Port Tunnel) Bravo. Wasn't Retardado against the tunnel? Why are these two jokes making extraordinary salaries? Does incompetence equal high salaries in the city of Miami?

  39. City Attorney Julie Bru has a $350,000 package. The City Clerk who only works 6 months a year has a $290,000 package and she does not handle a court system. Then you have THAT MORON...Spring.

Novice Crapp with a $200,000+ package.

Regalado makes the taxpayers pay them all.

  46. Yes ... Bravo signed/approved time cards for Meredith Nation ...

    ReplyDelete
  47. If Alice Bravo signed the Time Cards for someone stealing from the taxpayers shouldn't Bravo get penalized? Did the money come from Federal grant money? Did the money come from bond proceeds? State investigating?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Why doesn't City Attorney Julie Bru or City CFO Larry Spring tell Meredith Nation to return the stolen money?

She did not do any work to deserve the money? She sat at home in Broward County, right?

    ReplyDelete
  49. By that logic Larry, Julie, and the other worthless city "executives" ... Should have to pay back the money they steal with their paychecks every 2 weeks

    ReplyDelete
  50. Truth is who gives a crap about who is sleeping with who in the city? The fact remains that Retardado hired both Johnny-Kiss Ass Suck Up-Martinez at $200K and Alice-Lets pay no show employees for a year-Bravo at over $180K each. Why is it that when all the employees in the city had their salaries and benefits decreased, these two dim-lit light bulbs not suffer the same consequence? Were their salaries too low to touch-or did they kiss enough ass to pass under the radar. Should we discuss Angelito-Sucker Punched-Zayon and his useless ass being paid an astronomical salary for doing nothing while always looking like he is doing nothing? TomAss why don't you oversee your useless employees better-its a sign of lousy management skills when you can't control your directors!
