GIVE ALL OF US THE PULITZER!

We just had to laugh when we read that the L.A. Times has won a Pulitzer Prize for exposing the big salaries paid to public officials in the town of Bell, California.

We laughed even harder when the Miami Herald reported it, noting the irony that in a city full of corruption, the Herald applauds the L.A. Times, while ignoring their own backyard and walking away empty handed.

The Pulitzer Prize for public service, in our opinion, should be awarded to Al Crespo and his Crespo-Gram Report, to Investigation Miami, The Straw Buyer, Random Pixels, and this humble blog, for exposing the power, corruption, and lies that have dragged the City of Miami down to the corrupt Third World gutter it has become.

While newspapers congratulate one another in the Pulitzer award circle jerk, it is the blogs that are truly reporting what is happening in government and looking out for taxpayers.

    I second the nomination!

    Al Crespo gets my vote. No one really even comes close to the day to day dedication that Al puts forth.. He makes the reporters over at The Herald look like amateurs.

    I'm totally serious when I say he deserves a Pulitzer - If not him, Who?

    Chuck Rabin misses all the low hanging fruit. All he has to do is get his leads from the blogs. Even if he followed up on 20% of the stories he'd win awards. Hell, Al Crespo even prints the documents and E-mails so Chuckie won't break a sweat.

    Rabin & the Herald are a disappointment. They are too afraid of stepping on toes. Al Crespo, IM, TBM report the NEWS. In Miami we can read the blogs in the morning to find out what is happening in our community. Thank you!

    The information is accurate and truthful and often funny as hell.

    This City is one large Banana Republic. Speaking of that it is time again to place the banana peels at City Hall and to wear your "authentic Banana Republic" neckscarf.
